These boots are a bit of a struggle to get on the first few times but the leather does stretch and once you get them on there's plenty of room.They are ultra comfy.I wore them shopping all day the second time I wore them and didn't experience any discomfort.The leather smell is great as soon as you open the box and they are VERY high quality leather contrary to the other review.Afterall these are Frye boots and they certainly live up to the name!You won't regret purchasing the Frye Billy Short.

These are nice boots. The distressed leather looks great and the color goes with anything. I did purchase these one half size larger due to other reviews on this site and I am glad I did. I like to wear thin socks, but if someone wanted to wear thick socks they might require an entire size larger. The only complaint I have is the upper part of the boot is not finished smoothly on the inside and rubs my calves. I will have to wear socks high enough to prevent chafing or line the boot with moleskin.

They are a little difficult to get on and off, but I can handle it. My intent was to get the soft brown color but they were sold out,when I saw the clay color I fell in love with with the color. They are different and will look good in all seasons. I think they also have a more sophisticated look that the other colors. They really stand out with jeans.

For the record, these were the first pair of western style boots that I had purchased since my childhood days of riding and showing my horse in western shows. They are comfy, more than I expected. Love the color and styling. They do have leather soles so watch out for wet tile or marble floors. All in all, I'm very happy with my boots.

I loved these boots, but they were too small. At amazon.com the returns are easy, and free! I do alot of shopping on Amazon.com just because of there return policy and quality merchandise.

I first purchased these boots in dark brown on a whim. I never owned (or even tried on) Fryes before but managed to find these for an absolute steal at a local department store and decided to give them a shot. I'm so glad I did!! They were a little difficult to get on at first but once on-HEAVEN! These boots are incredibly comfortable. My pair was more distressed than what they look in the online picture but I prefer it that way since it gives it that vintage, I've had these for years-look that I'm in love with right now. Since I liked the dark brown so much, I decided to order these in Clay. I thought they would give me another option and the color was unique. They looked even better in person. They too have a worn-in look to them but again, that's the style of the boot. The quality of the boot was incredible as well. Love that it has a leather sole which i think adds to the comfort level. I think these run true to size. I'm a standard size 6 (foot not narrow but not overly wide either), sometimes a 6 1/2 in cowboy boots since they have a pointy toe. The 6 fit perfect in these. They were comfy right out of the box but I think they'll break in even better and likely will become easier to get off and on as well. Highly recommend. I want these boots in as many colors as possible now! I'm hooked and definitely a Frye convert.

This is THE most comfortable boot I have ever purchased. I bought the first pair in the color Rust, which looks more like a warm brown and is the perfect color for blue jeans and jeggings. I liked them so much that I also bought a pair in black. They need no breaking in. They're THAT comfortable. I wore them all day and didn't want to take them off. I usually wear size 10 in boots, and this runs a tad bit big, but after putting in an insole, it fits perfectly. The 9.5 I tried was too snug and my toes hit the edge. The boot is stylish with that extra edge I crave. I'm glad I bought them. You will be too!

I really liked the look of these boots, however if you have long toes, the pointed toe doesn't allow for this. Somehow it just comes up short. I have several pairs of the Bruce boot, they fit fine, these seem to be just short in the toe box. Also wider than most frye styles.

I didn't even try both of these boots on. After the first one, I put it back in the box and
returned. They felt hard and nothing like real leather I've experienced in the many countless number
of boots I've bought over the years. I realize these are more of a fashion boot, but I expected more
for the price. I didn't feel you get what you paid for in this product.
