I love Frye because I always know that I can count on a good fit and good quality all the time.
They fit perfectly and are the right color.
Totally worth the purchase and I'm sure many more to come once they get worn down.

Product Description

The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

Paul Weitman, owner of Laurevan shoes--the parent company of Eric Michael, started the brand in the '80s. Named after his son, Eric Michael shoes are made in Spain. The brand's main focus is to mesh comfort and fashion, which provides a great shoe experience for its customers.

Those boots are very good quality.

Love these boots in beige - beige looks very feminine, and goes well with every color (just like skin color goes well with everything).

I usually wear a 10 and ordered down a half size and they fit really well.

This is my third pair of Frye's and while I love them all this pair is easily the most comfortable. Break in time was very fast maybe a few hours at the most. They also go with so many things, jeans, skirts, dresses they look good with them all. For me the best part is that I walk about 3 miles or more per day to and from school and my feet are happy and cute all day long! I highly recommend these boots, you definitely need a pair :)

Frye makes amazing shoes. I live in NYC and they hold up to all the walking I do around the city. Won't break down, beautiful quality, and definitely worth the investment. I treated my leather with beeswax and it turned into a gorgeous rich color. I went and bought another pair in a different color shortly afterwards!

The Carson lace up is my favorite style of boot - so much so, that I have 4 pairs! I have them in black, cognac, taupe, and gray. These are my go to boots. I love the lace up style, and they're easy to dress up or dress down. The leather is sturdy but not uncomfortable. The toe is pointy and slightly upturned. I ordered a half size down in these, and they fit well. Initially the leather sole is a bit slippery, so be careful when they're brand new! All in all, I highly recommend these to anyone.

Comfortable and styled to perfection. These boots are simply great. The craftsmanship and quality are also great. They do run long in the front toe area and are narrow in width.I guess both attributes are due to the design of the boot which gives the shoe all its flavor. I usually wear a 7.5 but got a 7 after reading other reviews. The 7 fit perfectly. The width on one foot is a little snug due to a toe injury but i know once the leather wears they will fit great in the that foot. I have a pair of the engineer FRYE boots for 4 years now and they have still lasted. So if you want a shoe thats going to last seriously FRYE boots fit that category.

These boots are so great, as per usual with Frye. When I first got them, they were really tight width-wise but the length was perfect, so I kept them, hoping they would stretch to fit as I continued wearing them. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I loved them so much and had already worn them so couldn't exchange, and I decided to get a shoe stretcher to try to make them more comfortable. I did and it worked and I wore them every day for three months straight.

I already have these in the caramel brown and love them. Saved up to get them in black too. They're so comfortable with the perfect height heel for walking and looking stylish.

This is my third pair of Frye's - I also own the Melissa button back zip and the Dorado low - but these may be my new favorite. As a size 11 shoe wearer, this shoe runs on the large size (as all Frye's do). It's kind of nice to have a brand run large instead of small. There's basically a full thumb's distance between my toe and the end of the boot. However, I can throw on thick socks and these work great. Even without thick socks, the laces keep them on snuggly. They are a little on the narrow side, but my heel doesn't slip in these like the Dorado or Melissa and it's not an uncomfortable size. So - runs long, runs narrow but still extremely comfortable with a very walkable heel height.

The reviewer who suggested adding a rubber sole is making a great suggestion. I haven't, but I live in the city without a car, walk everywhere and have tripped on slick pavements in both of my other leather-soled Frye's.

Looking forward to putting miles on this boot. They'll last forever and are very well made.
