The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. These boots are beautiful out of the box. Of course I knew they would be, but the perforations on the shaft actually give these boots extra character. I fought for 3 weeks about the color, and in those three weeks....the price went down....lucky me! I ended up getting the tan color, and they are better then exspected. As far as fit goes, I wear a 7 1/2 usually but after reading reviews on other websites, I ordered a size 7. I am so glad I did! Thanks Frye, and Amazon I am so happy with my purchase.

Where do I begin? Every thing about these boots is great, the leather, the color, the style, everything.. I can wear these boots with everything and anything, leggings, jeans, dresses and even dressy pants. They are are so comfortable right out of the box. Runs a little bit too big, so get a half size less always with FRYEs, they only go mid Calf, which is perfect for me since I have big calfs. I got the Dark brown, it is just beautiful and for that price, it's a steal, I have never seen a FRYE for this price, am so happy with this buy :) Thanks to Amazon.

I love these boots. They are very unique and just beautiful out of the box. I bought the dark brown and i try to wear them with anything and everything. They are easy to get on and comfortable to wear, no breaking in needed at all. I love the slouchy look so I push them down a bit. I did order a half size down and maybe could have gone a whole size. I would deffinitely suggest getting at least a half size smaller. I would reccomend these beauties if you like the style, they are worth the money!!
