These boots are beautiful out of the box. Of course I knew they would be, but the perforations on the shaft actually give these boots extra character. I fought for 3 weeks about the color, and in those three weeks....the price went down....lucky me! I ended up getting the tan color, and they are better then exspected. As far as fit goes, I wear a 7 1/2 usually but after reading reviews on other websites, I ordered a size 7. I am so glad I did! Thanks Frye, and Amazon I am so happy with my purchase.

Where do I begin? Every thing about these boots is great, the leather, the color, the style, everything.. I can wear these boots with everything and anything, leggings, jeans, dresses and even dressy pants. They are are so comfortable right out of the box. Runs a little bit too big, so get a half size less always with FRYEs, they only go mid Calf, which is perfect for me since I have big calfs. I got the Dark brown, it is just beautiful and for that price, it's a steal, I have never seen a FRYE for this price, am so happy with this buy :) Thanks to Amazon.

I love these boots. They are very unique and just beautiful out of the box. I bought the dark brown and i try to wear them with anything and everything. They are easy to get on and comfortable to wear, no breaking in needed at all. I love the slouchy look so I push them down a bit. I did order a half size down and maybe could have gone a whole size. I would deffinitely suggest getting at least a half size smaller. I would reccomend these beauties if you like the style, they are worth the money!!

Purchased half a size smaller, as suggested, fits perfectly. Beautiful quality leather. Like the perforations more than I thought I would - will make it nice in the spring and early fall.

I normally wear a 9 and ordered an 8.5 based on reviews. The boots came and were gorgeous but to my shock, seemed a bit big. They were okay with thick socks but not wanting to settle for okay, even at this great price for Frye boots, I decided to order an 8 and see which fit better. The 8 just came and it fits perfectly, so the 8.5 is going back. I am giving the boots 4 instead of 5 stars b/c the sizing seems a little crazy.

If you order these boots definitely order at least a half size down, and consider going a full size. I do wear the equivalent of an 8 in wide shoes, like Birkenstocks, if that is helpful...

I don't think I have ever liked any pair of boots as much as FRYE!!!! Truly the best made boots for any occasion. I have multiple pairs of Frye shoes and I can't complain.
These Frye - Carson boots are easy to put on, take off and so comfortable, I wear them all day. In fact, I have them on right now! :) I truly suggest them and you won't see a lot of people wearing it, which is great!

These boots are very comfortable and lightweight. The "perf" gives the boots a unique view so you will be easy to get attention in them.
As other Frye boots, they run large so I ordered down half size. Then I put a cushioned insole and they are now perfect to go. The boots are slippery at first but all problems gone after you wear them for a few hours. Calves are pretty loose for a normal size girl, so I can wear jeans or thick leggings without feeling tight.
Oh, and did I mention Amazon offers an amazing price?

Got these at a great price in the tan. They are a beautiful, light cognac color - just like in the picture. The perforations add so much character and has allowed me to wear them into the summer heat with dresses. They also look great tucked in with jeans. Make sure you treat them before wearing them to avoid staining. Word of advice: a friend of mine spilled a glass of red wine onto my boot before treating and it came out by immediately spot cleaning with soda water!

I did not have much choices when I ordered, only yellow and buttermilk were available. I chose Buttermilk. Per other viewers suggested to down size it, I ordered 7 instead of my normal 7.5. When it arrived, the size fits me perfectly, the color is o.k. (not really my cup of tea), but the perforated shaft is a bit disappointment. It is very soft, thin and looks cheap. It would have been nice if there had a lining built to support the shaft and made it thicker. And there are uneven spots/discoloration (appears on light colored leather) on both sides. Well, will return it.

I love these boots! They are very comfortable...no break-in time needed...I bought the tan color..they go with everything and can be worn over skinny jeans or under boot cut jeans...they do run a little big so I ordered a 1/2 size smaller...wasn't sure if I would like the perforated shaft,but in person it really gives the boot a unique beautiful flare. They are light weight and I can wear them for hours...and the price is unbelievable!!! I highly recommend these! = )
