Comfy city boots,

I purchased these in black, and I have to say, they're perfect for walking. I find them very comfortable. My calves are on the skinnier side (13.5 inch diameter) and wearing tucked in jeans was not an issue for me. I would definitely recommend them if you need flat boots.

Beautiful boots that need a lot of breaking in,

These are gorgeous boots that fit my foot perfectly, however, they definitely run small in the calves... it's difficult to wear wintry socks with them, or tuck jeans in them. But, with some more breaking in, I know they'll fit me perfectly.

I was so excited to find frye boots at such a great price. However, I was a bit disappointing when they finally arrived. The calves run very small. I could barely get them on with skinny jeans. Also, I ordered them in black and the piping is much more gold looking in person. Finally, even though I tried on another pair on frye boots and was a 7.5, these seemed to run a little big. Small in the calve, bunched up at the ankle, and big in the feet. Unfortunately I will have to return them.

snug fit on calves,
This review is from: FRYE Women's Cindy Piping Boot (Apparel)
I've been searching for a flat-heel, tall leather (no suede please) boot. Normally I don't wear Fryes because I have wide feet and they seem to run narrow. With these shoes, I ordered a whole size larger than what I usually wear, and my feet stay comfortable for about 4 hours. I would not wear these if I was going to be on my feet all day. My feet are flat as well as wide, so I added a firm insole for arch support. The shaft is also pretty narrow; I have relatively large calves for my size (5'1", 115 lbs) and these boots fit snug, but not too tight to bother me. But there's no way I could tuck pants into these boots. The bordeaux color is beautiful; I can treat it like an almost-neutral; it reads as a red-brown under my dark wash jeans. The metallic piping reminds me of Wonder Woman boots, which is not a negative thing for me. The soles are slippery when new- be careful.

Perfect fall flat for smaller calves!,

Perfect flat boot for fall - comfortable and versatile. Love the gold piping on the back; it adds something unique. I have small calves (12.5" circumference), and have been searching for years to find a boot that fits smaller legs like mine. I can tuck skinny jeans in comfortably, with no bunching.

I ordered these in grey and in a size 10. I was worried about all the reviews that said these boots are too small in the calves, but decided to order them anyway because they are cheaper than a lot of fryes, and I would prefer the calves to be a bit snug than too big. The boots fit perfectly, without any breaking in at all. I do not consider my calves to be particularly skinny (they are 14" around to be exact), and there is still some room left in the boot, even with jeans on. I am more than satisfied with the fit of these, my only complaint would be the quality. I wanted to get a pair of frye boots because I've heard such great things about the quality, but these really don't look or feel that high quality at all (which I'm sure is why they were less expensive than other frye boots, but $180 isn't exactly cheap either). Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, but I'm not sure I would have bought these if I had seen them in person ahead of time.

I bought these boots in grey. I had to go up half a size so I could pull them on without tearing anything muscular but it was worth it! They look and feel divine; the leather is soft, the subtle silver piping the perfect embellishment. They are popular with the masses, great to walk in and are completely versatile. I've worm them with work dresses, skinny jeans, denim shorts, you name it. Also, I have calves that make most men jealous and they stop at the widest point of my calf snugly but it doesn't pose a problem. Amazing value for boots I will wear for years!

Despite what other reviewers said about the narrow boot shaft, I loved how these boots looked so much that I ordered them just to make sure. I couldn't even get the boot onto my leg it was so tight. I wouldn't categorize myself as having a large calf, but these were unwearable, unless you are stick-thin, I am guessing. I wish they had extended calf available because I love the look so much. I was just really hopeful that the reviews were wrong, but they weren't. Buyer beware, these are VERY VERY narrow. I had to return. :(

Cindy Piping Boots,

I have got this pair of Frye Cindy Boots in gray and I love them so much. I have compliments everywhere I wear them. They look simple yet very elegant and unique. This is definitely a yes if I would recommend them to anyone with narrow feet and average calves. One more thing I want to add, they run true to size.
