I recieved the boots in only 3 days after ordering I was happy for the quick shipping and was very excited to see them. That is until I opened the box, the leather on both boots had turned in some spots, having a milky white color on them, this is from incorrectly storing the item. I am very fimilar with proper handling of leather goods becasue I work at Coach for over 2 years. Amazon needs to be more aware of handling of their leather goods. Other than that the boots were very cute, however as another reviewer stated not for a size 9 at all. There is no zipper which makes it hard to put them on(only could get them up halfway) I was really hoping that maybe I woud be lucky and manage to get them on however it didn't work :( I would not suggest these boots.

These boots are absolutely beautiful to look at...amazing leather, awesome color (grey), excelllent aesthetics. The problem--and it is significant--is that you can't get them on! There is no inside zipper to open them up...and as a 'pull on' there are no pull tabs at the top to help you get a firm grip in order to pull them on. I have a narrow foot and a narrow calf, so the problem isn't girth.
As I said on the return slip...beautiful boots, but poorly engineered.

An amazing boot! They fit perfectly right out the box! True to size but a tiny bit snug in the front. I purchased the slate color and I feel like a superstar in them! So beautiful and so many compliments. Be forewarned that you'll need to get them treated. I got caught in the rain in mine and they turned into a Monet watercolor! :) Had to return but I learned my lesson. Also note that there is no zipper, so in the beginning they may be hard to take off. I usually wear them with tights or nylon socks which makes it easier.

I have these boots in cranberry and slate and I love them! The heal is perfect and they are so comfortable and cute. I'm coming back to order the black. I have had no problems getting them on or off. Love!!!

It's a gorgeous boot -- the color (dark brown) is lovely, the detailing is excellent, the shape of the toe is perfect, and the height is just right.

However, like another reviewer, I also had an issue with an ashy patina covering the boot, and the shaft is about an inch too narrow. I don't have thick calves by any stretch of the imagination, but 14" is just too narrow for the average woman. I slipped them on while wearing leggings and there was absolutely no clearance at the top of the shaft. If anything, they pinched a tiny bit. I thought about seeing if I could have the shaft stretched, but read another review where the buyer went to a shoemaker who said that the detailing renders it impossible.

I'm really, really disappointed to have to return these boots.

I will keep trying Frye boots until I find a pair that fit!! My calves are on the large side (15.5") so these did not fit, and the cobbler I visited said the type of decoration on them disqualified them for stretching...boo. I will try again. They are such lovely quality shoes.

I love love love these boots! I heard all the issues others were having, and yes they are a little hard to get on in the beginning, but they do get softer. I didn't have a problem with the calf area, they fit perfectly, so measure before you buy them. I am tall (5'10") and usally have a problem with the calf being too big. Just because I have big feet and I'm tall doesn't mean my calves should be huge too lol! I'm very happy with these boots!

I was a little hesitant after reading how difficult these boots were to get on/off. They arrived very quickly and are gorgeous, buttery soft leather with superb craftsmanship. I have no trouble getting these boots on/off even with my jeans tucked inside. They look great with leggings as well. Couldn't be more pleased.

I absolutely love these boots! High quality and very comfortable. They run true to size, I ordered a 6.5 because that was the only size left, but I could have used my regular size 6. The calves are reasonably narrow, but that's why I love them - I have very skinny calves and boots are always way too big for my legs. The Dark Brown color is lovely and goes with everything. Highly recommend!

The Frye Boots came in and looks amazing. They were sold as used but looked new.
