After a lot of agonizing, I decided to order the 8R instead of the 12R harness boot. I wanted something I could wear every day with jeans, and just slip in and out of. They are great. I love the vintage finish, and the way they look. They are a little stiff, and I am hoping they will loosen up a bit with time. I met a woman the other day with the same boots, and she said she's had hers for 4 years. They looked to still be in perfect shape. I sized down a half size. Normally I wear and 8, but I got a 7.5 and I'm glad I did. They fit perfectly.

The boot is fantastic!!! The fit is true to size though a little tight on one foot but not uncomfortable. The shoe is leather so i am sure once it is broken in they will be absolutely perfect. The quality of the shoe is outstanding. I would definately recommend this shoe, it seems like one of those shoes that will last forever. Go on and do it its a great buy!!!

These are the best boots around in my opinion. I love the syle, love the fit (1/2 size smaller than you normally take), very good quality leather and workmanship, and lastly MADE IN USA!!!!!!!

Frye are primo boots and they'll last a lifetime. I bought this style in black and brown but had to send them both back. It's not the fault of the boot, which is an amazing piece of footwear; it's just that my feet are too wide! So, until Frye makes a wide-sized boot it looks like I'm limited to the $15 no-name faux leather variety. BooHoo for me but WooHoo for you if you've got normal feet -- these boots rock!

These of course are very well made and high quality boots. Nothing was wrong with that part of it and the color is very close to the picture. But! I didn't read about the circumference problem until after I received them. If you calf is about 13 inches or smaller and you prefer a boot that will go well under jeans and u can wear with skirts and dresses as well. Save yourself the time and do not get these boots. Amazon and most other websites will tell you the shaft circumference. I would highly advise to read that first. I would say its close to 15in. and my calf is a 12. I'm fairly petite but not that little and the boots made me look like a little girl wearing her mothers shoes. From now on I know to read about the shaft circumferences sizes ahead of time. I determined to find the right frye boot for my smaller calf's, Frye's still rule!

This boot lost 2 stars because of the shaft and size issue. I happen to be a very skinny person, so the picture of the boot made it seem as though the shaft were narrow. Not true, it opens up making certain pants look silly with these boots. I had to order 1 whole size smaller than what I normally buy shoes. I ordered 5 1/2 where normally I order 6 1/2. Returns was very easy though, so no problems there! Not sure if I'd recommend ordering these boots online. I really really wish the shaft was not so wide!

Have had these boots for a year and a half, they've been resoled twice, saddle soaped twice, and are wonderfully broken in. My only complaint is that when they get wet from walking around in the rain, the leather shrinks and the boots feel tight for a couple days afterward. Regardless, I love my boots. I love that I feel good in them. I did put gel inserts into the boots since I walk about 5 miles a day, makes a difference!

They tend to run slightly narrow but for a normal foot they are perfect. They look great and have a very sturdy construction. Leather is nice quality and boot is good for everyday use.

I gave wanted these boots for a long time and finally ordered at a great sale price. They run a tad large but just right for winter socks. Great quality - will last a lifetime.

of course! definitely order them a half size smaller then your regular shoe size, though. they make everything look good and get a lot of compliments.
