Product Description

The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

A bit wider around the ankle than I expected, but I have grown to appreciate that.
The boots smell like a new schoolbag, genuine leather.
I can wear them all day during my job asa teacher, stone floors, no problem.

Gorgeous boots! Look even better than in the picture. The redwood color is a beautiful color. They fit true to size. I wear a size 8 and that's what I ordered and they fit perfectly. Very, very well made, worth every penny. Will definitely order Frye boots again.

based on other reviews I ordered my true size 6.5. Wish I would have ordered a size 7. It took a week to break in. Got blisters on both heels. I wear them with thin socks. Still tight around my right foot arch. I have low arches. Very cute boot, I wear it almost everyday to jobsites (which is why I got a boot with a wood sole). But the boot is still snug.

Love these boots. Easy to put on. Easy to wear. Comfortable with a stylish enough heel to feel that I can get caught in any situation....running after kids or running into friends out and about.
Beautiful colour. Have had them for two years and they are still fantastic.

This boot was a little small for a size 8. I also found the leather to be very stiff and uncomfortable. I am disappointed in the Frye boots that I have tried. For the price, they should be really comfortable, but they aren't. I returned these.

It took 3 tries to get the right fit but these are great! I'm almost done breaking them in, which is a pain, but I know it'll be worth it because I've had and loved Frye's for a long time!
