I bought these in black earlier this season, and have worn them about 10 times total since then. I wear a 6.5 and these run true to size. The leather looks high quality and they're a very cute style - they also fit my calves (which are on the narrow side) very well. However, I did notice when I first bought them that the soles seemed to be not so high quality - it should also be noted that they have little to no support. Then...I noticed last I wore them that the sole on one is peeling away from the boot from the toe! This should not be happening to Frye boots. Luckily, Frye has a 2-year warranty policy and will repair them, but I still have to pay for shipping and go through the inconvenience of being without one of my favorite pairs of boots for several weeks during the dead of winter. It's possible this is just a defect because it's happening on one and not the other, but I still would not recommend paying $200+ for these if the quality is already proving to be an issue.

I'll start with what I like: great color, great smooth texture, great heel height and very versatile. What would make me love these boots? No side zipper, 2 inches higher in the shaft, 1 inch tighter in the calf and better overall quality. I've got two pairs of Frye Campus (both made in the USA) which are much better quality than these Jillian Pull-On boots. These are made in China which I find appalling for a number of reasons starting with the obviously poor construction. While I'll probably keep these I'm done with Frye.

These aren't made for mucking around in the Back 40. They're dress boots and must be treated with care. Thinner soles and more supple leather than Frye work boots. Streamlined silhouette, snug fit in ankle and calf. Not a highly polished finish: more of a natural-leather look. They're pared down to the essentials (no lining in shaft). I plan to apply some sort of protective treatment before wearing.

I bought these in black, and I love, LOVE the look of them. Clean lines, no hardware, great style that will last forever. Even now scrolling through looking for a replacement, I keep seeing them and stopping because they always catch my eye. The leather was beautiful and soft, somewhat thinner than other Fryes that I own (the Paige Tall Riding boots--love). The sole has a nice rubber layer and definitely has more traction than other Fryes. I ordered my standard size 9 and struggled a bit to get them on--thankfully the zipper was there, or I wouldn't have been able to get them on at all! I was worried about pulling too hard on the leather and ruining them, though. Once they were on, the fit from toe to heel was great, better than the Paige boots. Unfortunately, however, the shaft was 1) too short and 2) too narrow. I am about 5'7"-ish and they ended well below my knees after I yanked on them to even get them that high up. My calves aren't super large--they're average to a little bit bigger (I've never had to wear extended calf boots), but the shaft barely fit around my legs and I only had on thin leggings. I did try them on with skinny jeans, and I ended up having to unzip the boot and pull the jeans down toward my foot. Even then the jeans bunched up around the top of the boot. The other problem was that the boot wrinkled and sagged in the ankle area. If you have small calves or like slouchy boots, you could style them that way. I am so sad that they're not a bit taller and maybe have some stretch (goring?) in the top like many other boots do. I love the look of them so much. Sadly, though, we had to part ways.

Great boots. Good craftmanship. Beautiful color. The sole is too them for such an expensive boots. I find myself trying to wear them sparingly, so that I don't wear down the sole too quickly.

I love Frye quality and leather but just gave away last year's expensive boots because they hurt in the heel and never softened up. So I was hesitant about trying Frye again. The Jillian arrived and when I wear it I forget I have boots on. This boot has a very soft grained leather and it is just slightly slouchy which I like. It bends with my ankle without stiffness. It fits the calf snugly and stays up. Very clean look without bulky buckles so it fits under pants and looks sleek with skirts. I have a high instep and I simply cannot get most pull-on boots into the foot of the boot. The half zipper allows me to angle this boot so that my foot goes in. As the boot is still new I do use a shoe horn but I think that will not always be necessary. But the shoe horn works great. I am 5'2 and 125 pounds. The 15 inch shaft is perfect for me as it finishes just below the knee. Most tall boots are too high.

I bought these for the bride & she absolutely loves them. I personally really love them on her. Very well made. She did say the arch support was not good so she had to purchase inserts, which is why I gave the 4 star review but after she did that they were really comfortable. I think they need to fix this because these are not cheap. I must say that my review is years overdue because I purchased them over 2 years ago & seeing them on her recently reminded me to review them finally. No better review than from a person that got a lot of use from them right?
