I just purchased these boots in the saddle color. They are fantastic! They are a beautiful camel color - the picture is pretty accurate as far as color goes. They are comfy and look great over skinny jeans. I've gotten tons of compliments. I think they run a little big and there is quite a bit of room in the calf, but I think that looks good with jeans. They are expensive, but Frye boots are the best and this is such a classic style!

I've had these boots in tan for a couple of months now and I really like them. I'm 5'10'' and skinny, so I have narrow feet and calves. These boots are fitted enough that I can wear them with skirts and it doesn't look awkward, but they are a little wide (noticeably) in the foot and the ankle. Definitely weather-proof them, because the leather stains easily.

These are my first pair of Frye's and I LOVE them! I ordered them in gray and couldn't be happier. I also found that Amazon had the best price on these boots. One thing to note that didn't show up in the picture, is the toe area is a little darker. I'm not unhappy with it, but if you are spending this much on boots you want to know every detail! I did order a 1/2 size smaller and they fit perfect. I am surprised at how comfortable they are, I didn't even have to break them in. I am 5'6" and these boots come up right below the knee. There is plenty of room in the calf and love the look of these boots with my skinny jeans. Yay, Frye! Thanks for such a timeless style. :) I am already plotting my next purchase!

This boot looks even better on than in the picture. I got the unusual gray, and at 6 feet with a REAL size 11 foot, they slid on perfectly from the first. I never noticed that my right calf was a wee bit larger than my left, but they fit easily over leggings and skinny jeans. On a business trip, I was walking through the trendy Hollywood Sunset shopping district and I had a shop owner come out to compliment my outfit and another tell me she noticed the boots while I was across the street. That being said, within a month the heels were pretty run down (although I used them mostly for performances in a country band and not really the hard walk that would cause this) I had seen this in a previous review, and was willing to take the chance. I'll put heels on them until the cows come home, but what I didn't expect was for the right pull tab to rip halfway off. I've been babying them for several months, debating on letting the shoemaker do an obvious stitch job. (Shoemakers are hard to find and =whew-expensive!) I contacted the seller immediately by email through Amazon as there was only one more 11 in stock. Never heard anything, and that 11 is now gone. The request was specific. I would purchase the new pair but wanted to be sure I'd be reimbursed for the one's being returned. They were a good price for Fryes, but they weren't cheap :-(

If these boots were a man, I'd marry them!!! I know our relationship will last FOREVER by the Frye reputation, they are TOTALLY handsome and understated. They are a PERFECT fit. I vary between 9 and 9.5, went with 9 and fit is great. I usually spend less and get the boot I ALMOST love, but these are my mad love affair. EVERYONE compliments me on them and people ask to feel the leather (which is golden and rich and perfectly distressed in all the right places). I go to shoe stores and enjoy scanning all the boots that I don't want, because nothing holds a flame to mine. I have ZERO buyers remorse. These boots have actually saved me money, in that I can now wear all those skirts and dresses that needed the right boot, tough but feminine. I could go on and on and on.

These are very cute and comfortable boots. I only gave them 4 stars because they are really hard to get on. Once you do get them on they are worth the trouble. I got the Nikwax leather care for them and was a little disappointed that the neutral wax discolored the leather to a little darker color. Although, I wore them in the rain and am glad that I had conditioned them first. I feel that they run true to size.

After reading the reviews, I went against my better judgement and ordered 1/2 size smaller than my typical size 7, mostly because I sometimes wear a 6.5 in certain shoes. The reviews REALLY stressed going down a 1/2 size, so I did and I ordered a 6.5. BIG MISTAKE go with the size you most typically wear! They were too tight, I had to return them and order a 7! The boots are incredible though! You'll love them.

Love the boots. Made very well. I wear 6 1/2-7, and ended up getting 7. Easier to get foot in/out. I have black, tan and now gray. For me, I love the boot b/c it's got a little detail, so it's not plain, but nothing major/out of the box, which allows you to wear them with almost everything. The moment you see them you know they're made well.

I usually cannot find boots that fit my very thin ankles and large calves (built up over many years of sports). These are quite comfortable and just fit my calves. I bought the tan color and they have the usual leather "imperfections." If you are looking for a smooth-finish dress boot, this is not the one for you. They do bag a little in the ankles, but that is expected unless I have boots custom-made. I ordered my usual size for boots. I forgot to order boot pulls, and it wouldn't hurt if the site reminded buyers of these boots to also buy boot pulls or hooks. The boots have tabs for pulls, and they are really needed to pull the boots up to the correct position on the legs. I read other reviews where buyers were saying the boots are hard to pull on--that is what boot pulls are for! My main complaint is that they were shipped FedEx (ok) but a "live" signature was required for delivery--I could not leave a signature on the FedEx door tag for them to be delivered the next day. I had to stay home an entire day to wait for the delivery! Come on! Yes, they are not cheap, but they are not THAT expensive for functional riding boots. I feel the buyer should have been able to release FedEx from the "live signature" requirement if the buyer assumed responsibility for the delivery (which the buyer ALWAYS does anyway if they sign the FedEx release form). Wasting my day waiting for the delivery was definitely inconvenient. I would not order from this company again if this is their only shipping option.

I purchased the dark brown boots for my daughter. They arrived coated in a thick waxy white coating that was so thick that the boots looked almost entirely white. It took me at least an hour to polish off the thick white waxy coating and the boots, although much better, still look as thought they have an antique finish to them. They certainly still don't look like the photo. I'll chalk it up to one of the pittfalls of online shopping, since had gone to the mall, I certainly wouldn't have bought them in this condition. I'm on the fence about returning them, but my daughter is happy with them now.
