I have been in love with this boot for years. Have logged in many hours trying to find one similar to the veronica slouch, however, frye is a bit out of my price range. Came across this STEAL and could'nt pass it up. I have never been more pleased w/ any purchase, let alone an online one. Amazon is my new best friend. Customer service is stellar, and my boots arrived the next day. I havent taken them off since I opened the box. Since I have tried them on about 600 times I new they would fit perfect (very true to size) but I did'nt now they would be so comfortable. I also have the frye harness. Veronica much more comfy. Leather is butter soft and foot bed has lots of padding. (its an all dayer)I have large calves (15.5") and they fit them fine. You can adjust the shaft opening to fit smaller calves. So to summerize...If you've considered this boot, BUY IT!!!!!! you wont be disappointed.

I got the veronica slouch boot in dark brown. The color was really nice. I usually am a 8.5 shoe and that is what I ordered. It fit well with normal socks but if you want to use thick socks order 1/2 size up. I say they are true to size and my feet are not thin. The boots do look narrow when you are looking down at them. I have a few issues with this boot, one is they are made in mexico not USA, nothing wrong with being made in mexico, but I thought Frye was US made. (most frye boots are marked made in USA on bottom) If I loved them that would not matter. The real issue is the "slouch" The leather is really thin to add to the worn look but I feel that it takes away from the quality of the boot. If I pay that much for a boot I want it to be thick leather. Thick leather will slouch just as well if not better. They look funny with my jeans tucked into them because of the thin leather it looks bunchy. They do look pretty cute with a skirt or leggings if that is what you like. hope this helps.

These boots are beautifully crafted - soft leather, great design. They run small. I am a consistent 10M but I had to go a 1/2 size up. One issue with this (and other riding boots) is that the exterior buckle can grab on your skirt hem (I've already ripped two while wearing these) -- Just something to think about. LOVE these boots otherwise -- soo comfortable and both casual and dressy.

Is there a better boot? In my opinion - NO!
I am a size 11, this is tricky enough for a gal. These boots are super comfy, beautifully tailored and will last forever. The smell of the leather and perfection in every detail is lovely. Quality and sturdy heel, very cushioned lining. Did I mention foxy?

These boots ROCK!! I got these back in Jan 09. I purchased the black boots but they look more like distressed gray, which gives them a vintage look. They are comfortable for the most part. The only problem I had with them is that they rubbed the back of my heels which would irritate my heels but never peel them. But they no longer hurt my heels (after a month of wearing them). They are a little tough at first but you MUST break them in, I have a bit of a struggle pulling them on, this is because the ankle area is a bit small. They did stretch on the foot area, they run petty much true to size with a bit of room. They fit a wide calf, 16"!! Despite the small flaws, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots and would recommend them to everyone!! I get compliments all the time from everyone.

Yes, like most of you out there I have been admiring these boots for about a year now, hoping to find the deal of the century. I thought perhaps I would find something similar at Nine West, but there's no comparison. Finally, after being so hesistant about the money $$$$ and trying to forget these boots, although, I just couldn't let go of them! They haunted me at night! I own a pair of Frye's and the quality is impeccable. These days most of us are a lot more cautious on how we spend our money, but I have never been more in love with these boots!!!! Amazon has never let me down! Frye has never let me down! UPS has never let me down! They arrived UPS and the shipping was fast! They fit perfectly true to size and they are sooooooo comfortable. The leather is butter soft and the padding feels nice inside. I have average size calves since I do work out and they fit loose. The straps are adjustable. If you have been admiring these boots, do yourself the favor and just buy them! I bought them in the black, size 7. The first day, I wore them over skinny jeans with no problem. I hope my review was able to help some of you ladies out there! Treat yourself to these!!!

I ordered these boots expecting them to be the distressed version of the boots shown in the picture, of course, but I received plain black boots. I am sending them back. 3 stars because they are really nice boots but I already have a million pairs of plain black boots, the really distressed black boots are more greyish, which is what I was expecting but did not get. another reviewer on this page apparently DID get the distressed boots shown and says they are more of a grey. I wish I got those and not the ones they sent. very disappointed.

I've been wanting these boots for so long, and now that I have them, I love them even more than I thought I would! They smell amazing, they are beautiful, and they fit like a dream. Definitely buy a half size up - I'm normally an 8, but bought the 8.5 and it fits perfectly. What's more, I have very wide feet, and typically have trouble buying shoes, but these fit me just right. I would recommend these boots to anyone.

Part of the reason I finally broke down and bought these boots was because Amazon had such a great price, and they offered free super-saver shipping. They originally told me that the boots would take a week or longer to arrive, but I got them only two days after I ordered them! I'm very happy with my purchase and will definitely buying Frye boots, and using Amazon, again.

I have been dying to have these boots for about 6 months now but always put the purchase off because of the price. One day I went on Amazon to just check on them (lol) and noticed they were selling the brown leather at $260! I could not believe it and put those babies in my cart ASAP. I love them! They are a perfect dark brown leather and they feel great. At first they rubbed my back right heel a bit, but as I've worn them more and broken them in a bit, they have become more comfortable. (My right foot is a bit shorter than my left, so I think that is why they rubbed; my left heel stays put.) I ordered them in a size 7, which is my usual size, and they fit perfectly. I love these boots and know that I will have them for life! Frye is known for their quality and this was definately a good purchase.

These boots are very cute. A lot of other reviewers suggested that they run small in size, so I got one half size larger than I normally would have. I wish I had chosen my regular size instead - they are definitely true to size. They are very comfortable despite being half a size too large. They do scuff easily, so be careful of that and consider buying some polish to go with them. Also, I thought they would come up higher on my leg than they do - I'm 5'9" with long legs and they only come up to the top of my calf.
