I've had mine a little over 2 1/2 years, got the notorious 'pop of death' (google it!) on Chistmas day. No warranty, no luck. This is a common issue on this model as well as other Vizio's. Disposable tv. Stinks.

I've had my Vizio for a little over 2 years now and it needed a replacement module. This module cost me well over $500, which is almost the value of the television set. Hence, I was very ticked off with Vizio. When I tried to reach their marketing department, I was given a number to leave a message. Andrew of marketing called me back after 6:00 p.m. on a Friday!

The repair man Adrian, was very nice and clearly had the skills to fix this television and aleviated a lot of the negative feelings I had regarding Vizio.

All I can say when it works its great, don't count on Vizio actually giving customer service.

Don't bother with this TV it is JUNK!! Had it a little over a year and now when you turn it on there is no picture but there is sound if you turn it off and on a couple of times it may come on. once it is on it is OK but getting it to turn on is the problem. I had it sent out for repair and the repair person said it was the backlighting and that would cost more than the TV is worth. What a turd.

I've been using this for daily use as a computer monitor for about 4 years now. I haven't had any of the problems that the other users have had yet. I am sure I use it more heavily than it was designed for as it is on all day long. I have it mounted to my wall using AmazonBasics Articulating Universal TV Wall Mount Fits 10- to 40-Inch Flat Panel Displays. You can view it from almost any angle, which is a huge plus for use as a monitor. For this purpose, it is a great monitor/tv especially for the price.

I have had mine for 2 years now. Excellent picture right out of the box. Speakers could be better but I use my home theater system for sound, so it's a non-issue. I did have a minor repair but [...] sent a technician to my home, problem solved promptly once the part arrived 2 days later. Would buy another Vizio.

We purchased our VIZIO GV42L in January 2007. The digital tuner is out after less than 3 years, with a year of sporadic problems before that. When it worked, the picture was nice.

VIZIO is no help... it's out of warranty.

A search of the web shows that others have had problems with the power supply going out.

This is not a reliable TV and VIZIO seems to have no desire to stand behind their product. We are very disappointed that our $1200 was not well spent. Caveat Emptor with VIZIO.

i want to have this tv! imagine people on the video coming out of the tv in real life (like the one in the image coming out with her head)! that's incredible and so i woul buy it!

The most incredible thing about this television is how the images it displays spill out beyond the four sides of the set, particularly over the top. - check out the top of the model's head on this item's illustration!

we recently purchases the galveia 42 in..vizio full hd lcd tv...fantastic picture...welcome to future tv viewing....great investment.
