Not bad, not sure it's that much better than my hands,

I love the furminator, so I thought I'd give this a try. I have an 80 lb. German Shepherd who lives indoors with us and sheds a lot. I also have one medium sized name brand furminator and one large "bamboo" furminator knock off for the dog and my two cats.
Depending on the season, the amount of hair that comes off of the dog during a bath can vary greatly. I used this in her last bath a few days ago. It was fine. I didn't think I got much more sudsing/lathering action out of it. A decent amount of hair accumulated between the nubs. I'm just not sure if more came out than I would have gotten otherwise. Since this is not too costly, I think it's worth a shot because it probably does help get at least a little more hair out of the dog during the bath. I do think I would avoid using this on long haired dogs as I think this would just create knotting, unless you use it during a cream rinse/conditioning stage of the bath where knots come out easily. The dog didn't seem to mind it, although I would avoid pushing too hard or staying in one spot to long to avoid irritation. Overall, not bad, can't hurt, but if you don't already have a furminator or similar product, I'd put my money toward that first.

I have 3 dogs who all have double coats and shed profusely. THis thing is awesome whether you use it with the furminator shampoo or not. It gives the dog a nice massage while getting the soap all the way to the skin which can be very hard to do on dogs with double coats. I noticed a big increase on the amount of undercoat it pulled off when washing my dog with normal dog shampoo and a ridiculous increase when I used the "special" shampoo. It works well, my dogs enjoy the massage and I am very glad I bought it!

The handle makes it easy to use. Wished the nubs were alittle softer, but overall good product

My sister has an extremely hairy dog whose shedding she has I hard time keeping under control. I gave this to her, and I have heard nothing but good things. She says her dog loves it and it has really helped control the shedding. Seems like a great tool!

I bought this with the Furminator shedding shampoo and found it awkward to use. The handle was difficult to manuever and I felt it took me too long to use effectively. I also bought a similar product from Kong that does not have a handle, and it was easier for me to lather up the dog.

I was super excited to receive this item, not sure why but i was. First time using it I expected better results in it actually removing loose hair.It did ok but the loose hair it did remove was hard to get off of rubber nubs. My dog however loved it. The first time I didn't have to chase her around the bathtub!! She stood there as if it was the best massage she's ever gotten and I must admit it did work up a great lather with the shampoo. She smelled like baby shampoo for a week so in that aspect it was great.

This is a helpful tool when bathing our short haired dog. We use it to scrub in shampoo and then to brush out fur while rinsing. It isn't a necessary tool for bathing, but is a good start to de-furring. We use the FURminator brush as well and this seems to do a better job removing large amounts of fur.

Well, I was hoping I would love this product because I really don't like having to use my hands to lather up my dog. Unfortunately this did not help work up a lather at all, but I think it is because since he is a Doberman Pinscher he has short hair. Seems like most people with longer haired dogs rated it well, so if you have one, go for it, but you may want to rethink it for a short haired dog. I guess I will give this to my friend and see if her Cocker Spaniels enjoy it.

This is an awesome brush to help wash the dog. I have a 70 lbs lab/retriever mix and it does good to get the soap into the hair and clean his skin as well. Really not much more to say other than it works great.

Having used the tubnub for bathing my short-haired dog, I would say pass. It's ok. There is nothing wrong with it. The tubnub has sturdy construction and overall seems nice. I just don't find this to be of much benefit, and it can be difficult to remove the dog hair that does get caught between the nubs. I find that I don't care to use this while giving my dog a bath. This is not a necessary tool nor does it add any convenience factor. So if you are thinking about it, just pass. Just not impressed.
