Okay, here's the honest... It looks as nice as the picture, and it's measurements are correct.
I thought it was made in the U.S.- it is made in Viet Nam. But, so are many other things nowadays, that's just how it is. The boxes said so. Those boxes are flimsy, the tape was stronger! Hence, I do have a dent on one of the rails- but it looks okay. About assembly: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST! My rails were mislabeled, so I first assembled it, then I had to take it apart in two pieces and reassemble it so the "swing" of it would be right! (The "pictures" in the instructions were correct, so I figured-out the "swing".) Make sure you check the parts listed, there are a lot of little parts so it's easy to make a mistake. All and all, it is a great sturdy piece. It looks as advertised, just a pain to assemble if you just blindly follow the directions. However, I WOULD buy it again. Remember, you MUST ALSO BUY a futon cushion/mattress. I bought the 9 inch, love it, and would never buy a 5 inch again. Guess what, I reviewed the 9 inch for you too- just follow my link as a reviewer!

It understandably came in a big box. My only complaint is that the holes on the right side facing the futon was drilled in the wrong place. Luckily I have my own drill. I was able to drill the proper holes and complete the assembly. I would hate to think of someone having to return this product. Packing it back up would be a nightmare. I would recommend it to someone who is a do it yourself type.
