The GE FX18P reverse osmosis filter set fits many GE Smartwater PNRV18 series reverse osmosis drinking water systems. This FX18P filter set includes one 10 inch long pre-filter with connectors on each end and one 9 1/4 inch post-filter.

DO NOT USE on Watts Premier WP systems.,

This is review of "Non-Watts Premier Brand RO Membranes" like this one. While it should work as described, DO NOT USE on Watts Premier WP systems (i.e. WP-4V, WP-4, WP-5). The WP systems are the one-piece manifold systems from Watts Premier.This does not have the built-in Check Valve or Brine Seal inside the white plastic tube of the RO Membrane. Without this Check Valve or Brine Seal, water from the reservoir tank (when full) will back flow to the RO membrane and damage it, and waste water. This back flow or reverse flow will happen when your reservoir tank gets full. So basically, you will be wasting water as the water trickle will not stop. When I tested it, water continued to trickle out of the reject water outlet tube even when my reservoir tank is full already (it should stop when reserve tank is full). The water coming out is at a much slower rate though, but still plenty enough to raise your water bill since the water trickle will continue 24 hours a day.

Several years ago the dealer for GE replacement parts doubled the price of this filter replacement set. I couldn't find this model in any hardware stores in the area. I've been ordering this through Amazon ever since. The various suppliers are efficient in delivering this product to me.
