I am going to review on the filter and not the shipping. The filter can be bought at home depot for about [...] for 2. It is the BEST filter I have had. I have tried many other filters since I have brown water. This is the only filter to catch the vast majority of the sediment. I have to change it once a week (I have seriously dirty water) - but I went from having dirt stained toilets and tubs, and dirt on the rim when cooking in a pot to clean water. Do a double filter system where this is the first filter, and the second filter is finer (and more expensive), and the water is pretty much as clean as city water!

I found that these filters are much better priced on amazon. I buy 1 years worth then my husband has them handy so that they can be changed the 1st of eveery month.

On 11-3-11 I purchased these filters at Home Depot for less than $10 not including sales tax. Looking locally could save you some money.
