Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18K 8.1MP Digital Camera with 18x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black)
Used & New from: $100.00
FZ-18 Bought this camera, took it on trip to S. America. In the majority of my pictures taken with full zoom, one side of picture is blurry.
I returned camera, was told it was defective, and was given a replacement, also brand new.
Same thing happened.
Now I am on my THIRD of same model and same thing happens.
I have tested camera on self-timer at far greater distances than 10 feet, same problem.
Any advice?
I have not read any reviews citing this problem.
Otherwise I am happy with pictures it takes.

We set the camera on the IA setting, and changed the ISO to 1600. Great pictures/camera for the price.

Another possibility. The lens will actually zoom (optically) to 28X+ mag at lower resolutions. As stated in the owners manual with possible (I forget the exact wording) degradation of the image. Is it possible you may using a lower res?

I'd say something else is amiss... Maybe your monitor or video-card??
