About the Author

Nicole Titus is a Haitian-American writer and artist born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In her teens she immigrated to New York where she received her secondary and college education. Ms. Titus is the author of Akin To No One, a social novel set in Haiti, which has been used to teach social justice at the university level. She has written as well a highly emotional play, The Prisoner of Jacmel. Nicole Titus holds a Master's degree in English, and writes both in English and in Haitian Creole.
