More About the Author

Tom Keith is a retired engineer who has been telling bedtime stories to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for more than fifty years. Tom worked for IBM for 30 years. During that time, he and his family lived in five different states, moving to Oklahoma in 1971. After retiring from IBM, Tom continued to do computer programming as an independent contractor. His writing experience was limited to technical documentation.
About 11 years ago, Tom and his wife Jo were awarded guardianship and custody of their two great-grandsons. Austin and Jeremy were about 4 years and 1 year old respectively. Austin was afraid of the dark and afraid to be alone, especially at bedtime. Tom started telling him stories to soothe him, and to teach good moral lessons. Austin would often say, "Tell me a story about animals that can talk." That is how the stories in Fable Forest Tales originated.
Tom is currently working to complete a novel that he started several years ago, but had to put on hold to care for Austin and Jeremy. That story takes place in the not-too-distant future. It centers on a man and a woman from vastly different backgrounds. They both become fugitives when they are thrown together amid economic and political chaos and tribulation of apocalyptic proportions.
