I really liked the game and I really liked the music in it, so I bought this soundtrack. I own the first one's soundtrack as well and there were some minor differences between the two. This soundtrack for Fable 2 felt more subtle through out the whole thing. That's not a very good way of explaining it, but that's what it sounded like. The first Fable music was very in your face and very melodic and thematic. But Fable 2 wasn't so dominant in melodies. It kinda went more towards atmospheric chord progressions. Not to say there aren't any tracks in here which have strong melodies, but overall I feel like the music in Fable 2 was more atmospheric. I liked it. It still felt like it belonged in the Fable universe and it still felt like it was tied to some of the themes in the first one. Hearing bagpipes and pennywhistles in the track "Bowerlake" was a pleasant surprise! And I really love the track "Westcliff". I recommend this soundtrack to any Fable fans, or anyone who likes music that's slightly heroic, yet always has an air of mysticism and whimsy to it.

While great usually implies a 5* rating, this does not. While Fable II has a glorious soundtrack like it's predecessor, it's lacking that special something that makes a soundtrack really pop.

While some songs are just outstanding (Westcliff), some are just pure filler materiel (Howling Halls). While such songs are included in the game, they are just not very effective outside of the game.

Overall this is definitely worth a look, and was my vote for best game soundtrack of 2008.

Great price for this wonderful game, bought it for my teenage son and he plays this more than anything else. It came new - and it perfect condition. No complaints about Amazon or it's service although, anytime USPS is used for shipping it takes many days to receive and the tracking isn't reliable at all. If UPS or FEDEX were used, it might be perfect!
