5.0 out of 5 stars Please, please, publish the rest!, July 12, 2001

Well, I have had all of the books, up to 6, and am desperately hoping beyond hope that the rest are released. One can only play through so many times before it gets old. However, that being said, I would certainly buy the remaining 6 books in the series at the drop of a hat. I never knew that the last 6 were never released, and that is a pity. This is probably one of the best RPG gaming book series I have ever played, so c'mon, publish the rest. I wait patiently for their release.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, September 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Fabled Lands: The Court of Hidden Faces (Fabled Lands S.) (Paperback)
I thought this was a very good book. It is fun going through a world that you choose your own fate or you roll dice to choose your fate. I would recomend this book to anyone who likes role playing games. The only problem is I can't find anywhere that sells the rest of the book series

5.0 out of 5 stars It's A Pity, June 27, 2001
This review is from: Fabled Lands: The Court of Hidden Faces (Fabled Lands S.) (Paperback)
You know, It's a pity more of us didn't buy these books when they first came out, because they are really good. I mean the finest example of this gamebook format in existence. Even those who only have a mild interest in role-playing or fantasy should buy at least one of the series. Because then you'll be hooked. It's a pity, because I think 12 were planned, but due to poor sales, or something, only 6 have been made. :-(

5.0 out of 5 stars The pinicle of Gamebooks, December 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Fabled Lands: The Court of Hidden Faces (Fabled Lands S.) (Paperback)
The whole of the Fabled Lanbds series is quite possibly a masterpiece of Gamebook writing. I have played all 6 books, and am amazed at the seamless transition from one book to another. I spent many a happy hour playing the first few books in this series, my Preist carving his way through Fairies, Goblins, mysterious warriors, ploughing through the blood sea.

Any gamebook fan would be a fool to miss these books.

Keep an eye on EBAY if you want the rest of the series, they will be avaialble in Jan2000

5.0 out of 5 stars Come on, where are the rest?, November 4, 2003

Oh wow! I always loved adventure books, and these are by far the most dynamic of the ones I've played. I remember once going on a huge quest that took me across 4 books but had to stop because of the unpublished ones! AAAagh! Thank God it looks like [the website] is going live soon...

This is a fun series, but this title is a little too difficult. My character was killed or imprisoned a few times through no fault of mine. It was entertaining going on various missions for the Uttakin, but I didn't want to have to cheat or keep restarting to get through the difficult parts.

In my opinion The War-Torn Kingdom is the best book of this series, because it is easy enough to get through without restarting. Dave Morris' Heart of Ice is also good.

Of all of the solo RPG books that I have played over the years these have to be the best. Like the other reviewers I would buy the remaining books in the series in a shot if they were ever released.
