My daughter enjoys to read but has been quite stuck on Harry Potter. As much as I like that Harry Potter is good recommended reading, I wanted her to try other books as well. To my daughter, nothing was as good as Harry Potter and perfectly good books were often left unfinished because of this. She Started on Fablehaven and finally...we have a winner.

I haven't read these but my 10 year old son loves them. I even caught him reading under the covers with a flashlight last night when he was supposed to be going to sleep! Anything that gets him to read that enthusiastically is great in my book.

The book series Fablehaven , by Brandon Mull is a book about a girl named Kendra and her brother Seth. When Kendra and Seth are forced to take a vacation to the house of their mysterious grandparents; Ruth and Stan Sorenstan, weird things happen that put the two kids in constant danger, which changes Kendra and Seth's life forever.

Brandon Mull does a great job of having unexpected twists at every corner. His book series Fablehaven, is fiction with a little bit of mystery and scare. Each character/creature has his/her own original personality. The choices each person makes are critical to their life. This magical book series will keep you turning pages all night long.

My daughter (11-12 years old) loves the Fablehaven series and it's nice to own this set so she can read them over again. I also plan on reading the books. Amazon's price is great too.

This completely filled my post HP void! I loved the series, and am reading the last book. I read the first four books in a week, and I am 32. I have just become obsessed with young adult fantasy- it is so rich in descriptions. I love this series!!!!

I bought this set back in the month of December as a Christmas gift for my 14 year old brother who is very into this sort of genre. To be honest, I only bought this not because I had heard good things of it from friends.. but as soon as I saw the rating on Amazon (which at the time was all 5 stars) I didn't even hesitate. Well, turns out my good mother had the same idea and had already bought him the set for his birthday the month before so we ended up with two! I wasn't complaining, and one day with nothing much to do I decided to give them a go.

I consider myself an all round book lover; however, these books just may convert me solely to reading nothing but tales on fairies for the rest of my life. It is almost impossible not to get hooked to these books, once you start and finish one, you are already grasping for the next.

I refuse to give away any of the plot.. but if you love stories set in beautiful environments with make-believe creatures and animals floating in and out on the pages, with hooks and twists and turns every other chapter.. this set is for you. You will not regret it!

I've only read the first two books, but I loved them. They're fun and action-packed, much like the Harry Potter books. Definitely a good substitute.

This is my son's favorite series. He read them when he was 8 years old and LOVED them. He has shared them with friends who have also really enjoyed them.

I first read this book when it just first came out and fell in love with it at the first page!!! Kendra and Seth grabbed my attention, as well as the sanctuary Fablehaven (grabbing me in with mostly my passion for magic and mythical creatures and whatnot) and read then 'till the end!!! I thought this was a very clean read and good for kids and even teens!!! Pick this book up right now and start reading! You don't want to miss out!!!
