A book to treasure and share with others,
By
This review is from: The Fabric of Her Dancing Shoes (Paperback)
I loved this book! As a long time fan of Terri's art and poetry expressed in her "Bone sighs", I couldn't wait to read her book. She is truly gifted in her ability to reach into the deepest part of her emotions and share them in a way that also resonates with the reader. As the book cover so succintly states "Wanting to learn how to dance not only through life, but with life and understanding that the dancing comes from within, Terri began a search inside herself". Terri's journey within herself was a journey that I could identify with in many ways. What are the things that hold us back and stop us from being our true selves and living our lives to the fullest? No dry textbook style here, but a mixture of her Bone sigh poetry and writing that is so emotional, so elemental, so real, that sometimes I could only read a page or two before stopping to think about what she had written. This is a book to savor, bit by bit and a book to share with others. I have already given two of them as gifts and recommended it highly.

I absolutely love this book! It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it took me into the very heart of my own inner journey. Terri St. Cloud has a way of writing that takes you along on her journey and lets you see how your own journey meanders along many of the same paths. We're all looking for 'what's real' as she calls it. We all want to know why we're here and how we want to be in the world. With humor, and total honesty, Terri lays her heart wide open so that we can look into it and see that our own hearts just want to be open and free, and she gives us her wisdom and insight on how we can make that happen. I highly recommend this book for all women on the road to finding themselves.
