It's hard to buy music you've heard nothing of, and going on a whim. But it's the greatest feeling when you ace it with a blind pick!!I bought this cd for my husband for his birthday. We love Cut Copy, and figured this album was titled 'Cut Copy' because they were the ones with the most songs on the album, and that the rest of the compilation must be music like Cut Copy's. We loved the cd! It runs in continuous motion. The songs melt into eachother. I love that! So we started to figure that maybe this compilation was mixed and DJ'd by Cut Copy. Looked up the info on Wikipedia, and we were right! I'd be excited to check out other Fabriclive albums to sample other DJ's flavors. If you love Cut Copy, how could you not love -this- album?! Buy it! I crave to hear it a lot! It makes you want to stop everything you are doing and just dance!

Cut Copy on the dance floor = genius,

Take Cut Copy, stick them in the DJ booth, and this is the amazing result. Melodic, rhythmic, over an hour of ear candy. Amazon doesn't seem to have good availability on this disc, so try to snag a copy somewhere else. You won't regret it.

This is a solid electro mix from start to finish. Nothing too surprising - just a solid mix.

Decent dance music, but it's no Cut Copy.,

If you're thinking of buying this because you just can't get enough of Cut Copy and you're not that big on dance music in general, I'd skip this album. It mostly is just straightforward, relatively simplistic dance music-- a few tracks are a little deeper, a little more layered, a little more interesting, but nothing I couldn't live without. The album just doesn't have that retro edge to it; it doesn't take an old sound and do something new with it like Cut Copy's music does.Overall, I'd give this album a B-/C+. It doesn't fill a musical void in my life. I'll listen to it every now and then when I don't feel like thinking, but if someone stole it from me, I probably wouldn't buy it again.

I went to the local record store looking for a Cut Copy album, and this was all they had! At first, I was upset because I wanted "In Ghost Colors", and this place didnt have it. I purchased this, and I was not disappointed in the least. If you like 80's influenced synth dance music, then this is for you! It is an amazing compilation. It hasnt left my cd player in about a year. EVERY SONG IS GOOD! I highly recommend this to any electro fan!
