The provided picture can be a little misleading. This runner is probably designed for the look or as a prop, not necessarily for durability or to be used as runner for a high traffic event. While the description is accurate , it is "fabric" however, it is a very thin fabric comparable to a major brand paper towel. I was hosting a cocktail event and wanted to add that Hollywood touch, after my first rush of guest in heels, the runner was shredded. It doesn't photo graph very well, in many (if not all) of my photos, you can see through the runner -brick underneath the carpet.

I would recommend this product as a prop that will be lightly used.

Very thin and paper-like. I would only use it on a hard surface. It's also not so, so red. The kids would have fun with it, but I could see this tearing very easily.

useless in every aspect. Maybe if nobody was going to walk on it and it was just for show... no. Not even then. It was not even red. It was pink. You'll have to tape down the entire length on both sides before you can attempt to walk on it. It was snagging on heels, lifting up everywhere. It was a disaster and unsafe as evidenced by people tripping over it.

I should have known by the price, which was great until it arrived :( This was for my daughter's 6th Birthday party, as we were doing a red carpet fashion show party. I took it out of the wrapper and was thinking this was going to be great because it rolled out pretty well. I went GENTLY and then went to roll it back up when, It tore and became unusable. I had to go buy fabric to use, which was my first idea. This is WAY too paper THIN for the carpet but I never got the chance to even try it on my hardwooods. Was bummed but OH WELL....

This product will be a good product for a basic informal event. I wanted to go the cheap way out seeking a red carpet runner for me to walk down the aisle on for my wedding. Needles to say, I rented an actual red carpet. This was just not going to work; however, I will probably use it for my wedding review. It will be great for that purpose. The ranks are low only because I could not use it for the purpose I purchased the product. Not an educational device, why that is low. For the review we have planned, we will enjoy it!!
