Fine Product, Great Gift For a Wine-Lover,

I recently purchased this item as a future Christmas present, but will review it briefly. Because the stain from the barrel is on the underside of the candelabra, it will not be readily visible on display. Lifting it up though, the stains are visible. The phrase in the description referencing the smells of wine from the product are hyperbole, or at least I wasn't able to detect anything close to wine-created scents. On display, I think the natural curve of the stave is beautiful, and makes this a unique gift for a wine-lover.

I had high expectations for this item, and Amazon and True Fabrications exceeded them. First of all, it arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered it, with free shipping. Second, it's breathtaking. Heavy and substantial. Darker than pictured, and the grain on mine is more pronounced, like quartersawn oak. The marks from the metal barrel straps are clearly visible. And the underside is stained a deep, rich purple. The corners are sanded smooth and the entire stave is waxed and buffed to a soft gleam. Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who loves wine and candles (perfect gift!). As others may have stated, this should not be sent directly to someone as a gift since there isn't any materials in the box as to say what it is. I simply created my own description of the item and just included it in the box before wrapping it. The item itself looks great on her coffee table and had the nice wine stains on the underside where it would have been on the wine barrel.
