Editorial Reviews

Review

`The detailed analysis of affiliations and multifarious linkages ... is handled with unimpeachable accuracy ... and clarity of presentation. ... But we must be grateful to D. ... for providing so much of the evidence needed for further study in this field.' C. W. Willink, The Classical Review, Oxford University Press 1992

5.0 out of 5 stars Diggle's edition of Euripides for Oxford Classical Texts, September 24, 2005
By
Harold Skulsky (Northampton, MA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fabulae: Volume I: Cyclops, Alcestis, Medea, Heraclidae, Hippolytus, Andromacha, Hecuba (Oxford Classical Texts) (Hardcover)
This edition is superb, a worthy successor to its immediate predecessor, Gilbert Murray's, which of course had to be brought up to date and is now richly, usefully, and definitively supplanted. Diggle is a consummate textual critic--and (icing on the cake) a winsome latinist.
