3.0 out of 5 stars Its great...but
Well, It is so cool how you can punch out hundreds of pieces and they are reversible clothes too! (very handy) the only thing is that they are easy to get lost after you have punched them all out! There are do many pieces and the storage thing isn't that helpful. It is still very cool and I'm sure younger kids (I'm 12) would enjoy it moer becuase they don't worry about...

This book was really great for my five year old daughter, all of the dolls and clothes are perforated and she was able to take all of the dolls and clothes from the pages herself. Instead of paper tabs over the shoulders, these dolls come with an entire page of double sided stickers which hide behind the clothes worn by the doll, keeping their clothes on better than any doll with tabs I had as a child. It makes a great portable toy, as everything gets tucked up and folded into the book when done, its relatively small, fitting into a backpack nicely or the storage compartment of a vehicle.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Magnificent..., June 7, 2004

These dolls are great, to be put simply. They appeal to both boys and girls, children and adults. The clothes are easy to arrange on the doll; unlike regular paper dolls, there aren't any tabs to worry about ripping off. ^_^ You get twice the wardrobe in the same amount of space, as the clothes reverse to allow for a whole new selection. You aren't stuck with one hairstyle, one skin color, one face. But I think the best thing about these particular dolls, would be the fact the patterns for the clothes are simple. Therefore, if you somehow manage to get bored with the large wardrobe, you can simple trace a few pieces out and make your own clothes.

Paper dolls with and without faces for you to put the expression on. Clothes that change colors when you turn them over. Little dog, cat, toys, bags, towel, pillows. Turn them over and they are different colors and designs. The clothes are basic enough to add your own decorations, glitter, buttons, etc or not depending how you feel. Inside are scenes from the beach and snow. A birthday party, and stage, more. Wait, I can't forget the baby paperdolls and their clothes. Turn them over for more. No tabs, no cutting out. Thats nice, but I don't know yet if I like the double stick post it dots. I'm an adult with grown children, but I love playing with these.

This book is a great tool for playing, both solo and in small groups. If you want to reduce your kid's screen time, then try this book.

I rate it four stars instead of five because after a while, it gets difficult to store and reuse the clothing. This book won't be handed down to the next generation, but it's still worth owning.

My 4 year old daughter recently recieved this book for her birthday. She LOVES it. She loves picking out the different outfits and sticking them on the dolls. She can punch them out of the book successfully by herself. She plays by herself or with her older 5 year old brother who is intrigued by the book as well. They dream up little scenerios. The storage in the back of the book is a GREAT bonus. And I like that the book comes with suggestions for making your own dolls and clothes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun, November 25, 2003

My 4 year old daughter, who usually forgets about a toy minutes after unwrapping it, got this book for her birthday and has been playing with it for days. She loves using it, and its easy enough for her little fingers to do all by them self. Another review mentions that the storage isn't the best for all the pieces once they are out, and this is true, but we have the whole book in a giant ziplock bag now to minimize the loss of pieces. My seven year old son even asked his sister if he could dress up some of the dolls in the book in cowboy and soldier outfits. It't GREAT. (caution, some of the clothes can rip slightly when being punched out with little fingers...but a little help from mom and dad prevents this too!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Fun!, February 6, 2006
A Kid's Review

I think the fabulous book of paper dolls was very super fun! There are so many clothes that you can play literally for hours and not get bored! When I grow Up I will give this to my kids and say 'I played with these when I was a little girl.' These Dolls are fun, even for boys!It is really messy- But hey! That's what makes it fun. I hate it when people drone on about how there's nowhere to store them. Ever heard of a plastic bag? Anyway,I really Reccomend these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun with granddaughter, August 8, 2007
This review is from: The Fabulous Book of Paper Dolls (Klutz) (Spiral-bound)
This has been my 3 year old granddaughter's favorite thing to do with Grammie. At first she picked out the doll and clothes to use, as I peeled the sticky shapes for her and punched out the clothes. Now that she is almost four, she has mastered peeling the paper off of the sheet to get the sticky shapes of her choice and we now take turns picking out a doll to dress and selecting an outfit, but we always work together. It is so very relaxing getting involved in this activity with her. We love sorting through the many pages of options that this wonderful book has to offer.

I scrapbook everyday and have a lot of nieces and newphews. I think that this is a fabulous book if you want to spend some time with your kids. You can show them how to remove the pieces and place the clothes on the dolls. There are pages with backgrounds so they can put the paper dolls in the scene they desire. Then sit back and watch them make memories while you take their picture. It's a very colorful and sweet book. I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought the designs of the dolls could've been better. Overall, it's a very cute book and you'll have fun with it.
