5.0 out of 5 stars great new ideas for making cards and scraping
What fun! At first glance folds seem so complicated, but this handy book breaks it
down into easier steps. The tea bag and iris folds are delightful. My 9-yr-old
grandson joined in the fun. Take your paper crafts to the next level with these
ideas.

Im sorry but i was not impressed at all with this book. In the past i have learned alot of the crazy unique folds for cards and this book was not at all anything new. Most of the folds in here you can find if you 'you tube' Dawn Griffth and watch her stampin up video gallery. Plus the first section of the book called 'Cut & Fold' you need templates in order to cut out the design which are NOT in the back of the book. The cards are cute but you arent able to make them without buying the templates. For any beginner scrapers/card makers the book would probably be perfect if its easy for you to follow written directions (very little pictures) to figure out what to do but for any experienced scrapper i would NOT recommend this book. And thats another thing, very little pictures! For some of the cards there are only pictures showing what the front looks like and not the unique fold of how it opens, so you really have no idea what the finished card that YOU are making is suppose to come out looking like. Very disappointed.

There are good things and bad things about this book. As an experienced card maker, I have many books, however, this book was really good for explaining iris folding to me, but then, I had to go online to get the templates and print them out. Maybe it was the online instructions that helped but at least I can do it now and didn't have to buy anything seperate for the technique. The teabag folding section is pretty good. Print out paper from free online sites for great designs. I want to do the neat cutting technique but you have to have certain templates to use, which you have to purchase seperately. That was totally disappointing to me!! The pop up cards are not explained or pictured very well either. All in all, this book is a fine addition to my crafting collection, but not the first one I take off the shelf. All card books have different ideas, and it's good for that!

I like this book very much. It gives plenty of examples of how to make different greeting cards. Also instructions that are new to me. I have been making greeting cards for many years and this book is a great help. The iris fold help is very useful also the different styles. Plenty of photos that makes me want to try most of them. Even if you are new to card making this book will help you get started. You will find a card for every occasion.
