"This was great to read with my daughter who is in kindergarten. It contains lots of sight words that she could read on her own and a great message."

"I really enjoyed this book. I feel like the author has a lot of love for those reading this book (and people generally). This would be a great book for multiple readings. The art is great. The story is, too. Her other one, Sparkly Me, is great, too. They have the same character. It is a unique book, and not the same as the last one. They're both great. "

Editorial Reviews

This book is sure to be an asset to anyone raising a daughter. The message about self-esteem is woven together with simple exuberance for life and Emma will be a great role model for young girls (and boys for that matter) learning to read. The rhymes make the book even more attractive for language development skills.

5.0 out of 5 stars `It's Me! It's Me! It's Fabulous me!' July 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Ally (Ayelet) Nathaniel believes in creating books for children that empower them to be fully themselves - special, talented, happy, and fabulous.

Emma (based on Ally's daughter) is a cute young girl who wakes up so happy she sings a song. She shares with us the things that make her feel fabulous - playing outside, riding her bike, hopping like a frog, helping her mother bake cakes, reading books, making snow women in her backyard, joining her family in a trip to the park, to the beach, and even looking at the stars in the night sky. Emma love to dress up for school and she especially love family picnics. Or as Emma phrases it, `These things I do, I think they are fun. They make me feel I am a special one.' And I children follow Emma's way of looking at the world and interacting with life, that feeling of feeling special is contagious.

Ally Nathaniel's books have spirit and message and are specifically designed for children to understand important values. The terrific illustrations are by Sugar Snail! Grady Harp, July 13

4.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Me is A Fabulous Read July 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
In Fabulous Me by Ally Nathaniel, children learn the awesome lesson that it is okay to be who you are. Because who you are is just fabulous. I will have to say that not only is this book beautifully written it is also beautifully illustrated as well. As a teacher and a mom I saw the multiple uses for this book. First, because I am a mom first, I thought this would be an awesome way to help build the self-esteem in my daughters. I just wish that when Mikaela was smaller this book was around. Out of all my girls, she is the one who struggled most with what people thought about her. And to this day she still does. I was like that to for awhile but at some point I had to stop caring so much what others thought. I will have to admit that there are still times that I struggle with this issue, so I hate to tell her you don't grow out of it, you just learn to deal with it better.

The little girl Emma in the book is such a sweetie. She talks about what she loves to do. The book first starts out as Emma is waking up and she embraces the new day with gusto. She is rejoicing that she has another day that she gets to do all the things she loves to do and gets to do these things with all people she loves. This book would be such a great writing prompt for younger kids, after reading this story you could ask kids what makes them special and why does that make them special??

There are so many possibilities with this book. I will have to say that not only is this book cute it is also frugal. Right now you can buy it on Amazon {Kindle Download} for $1.25. (If you are a Prime member it is free) How awesome is that?? And did you know that this is not the only book Nathaniel has written join me this week when I review her other books, Once Upon A Pencil, Sparkly Me, and Who's under the bed?.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Me November 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am excited to be able to review another one of Ally Nathanial’s books! Fabulous Me is another story written to encourage children’s self-esteem and belief in themselves. Emma wakes up feeling very happy and sing a song about fabulous me, there are places to go, and many things to see. The story shows activities that Emma enjoys and goes through. These activities are ones many children have in common and enable children to create a connection with Emma while reading the book. Emma likes to play outside and ride her bike. She loves helping her mother bake, reading books, and building snowwomen. She enjoys doing things with her family, looking at the stars, and going to school. Emma is proud and knows that she is special and wants to let other children know they are special too.

I have quickly become a fan of Ally Nathanial. It’s apparent she writes her children’s stories from the heart and as a mother. She wants children to not only hear that they are special and cherished, but too feel that way. Ally really wants to spread the message that children are appreciated and loved so they can better handle the negative messages that the outside world can contain. I recommend all the books this author writes to help you share the virtues that mothers want to give their children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Me - A Great Way To See Life October 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
"Fabulous Me" is a sweet and fun book that encourages kids to see the bright side of life.

The engaging main character talks about the many lovely things she gets to do and experience in her life and how she looks at situations that other kids might complain about (e.g. long car rides).

My eldest daughter is prone to focusing on "what's wrong," so this is an ideal way to gently remind her that sometimes it helps to simply look at life from another angle.

5.0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS BOOK August 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Emma is an energetic child who finds joy whether she's playing outside or reading inside. Her parents have taught her the secret to feeling good about herself, and, it seems, of others, too.
She lives in a colorful world where each activity possesses value and no person or thing is worthless. Emma seems to face each day as a challenge, not just as something to be tolerated.
The story is written in rhyme, but if your child can't read unless the rhyme is a sing-song, where each line has exactly the same number of syllables, it's possible your child was only listening to how it was said and not what was said.
Wake that kid up! This is an important lesson; the sooner each child learns it, the better they'll be. Anyway, I think so, as do a great many psychologists. Those same psychologists say a positive self-image is a strong foundation for a successful life.
And to think it could all begin with a happy bike ride!!
Great book, Ally Nathaniel!!!
