This review is from: Fabulous and Monstrous Beasts (Hardcover)
My six-year-old son loves to look at the pictures in this book; they are big, scary, and detailed, but not especially bloody. (The cover picture is similar to the pictures in the text of the book.) Every night, I read to him about one of the monsters, and he is thoroughly entertained. (It is too difficult for a first or second grader to read independently.) We have several monster books, and this is one of his favorites. The book has some educational value, as he is learning about mythology and different cultures.
