5.0 out of 5 stars a reeeeaalllyyy good CD!
Since I live in the U.S, Serial Joe is not known. Luckily for me, I was watching MuchMusic one day and happened to see them. I heard one song (Mistake in case you're wondering) and I was totally hooked on these guys. I finally recieved their CD and I have listened to it over and over. This is SUCH a good CD, I encourage you all to go out an buy it. The CD is full of...

3.0 out of 5 stars sounds a bit like someone else i know....
Well, ok, these guys can definately kick it. 'Mistake' is such a good song. But some of the guitar riffs, I have to say, sound a bit like silverchair's 'Roses' on the 'Freak Show' album. I don't necessarily like saying that, because I know how silverchair was always dubbed as 'Nirvana-wannabes' but i do think they sound a bit alike.... so if you like silverchair, go...

5.0 out of 5 stars Young talent, November 18, 1999
This review is from: Face Down (Audio CD)
Serial Joe's members are all 15 years old - but in those 15 years they have, apparently, adapted to their musical surroundings, and picked up on quite a bit of talent along the way. Their second CD, Face Down, is going strong. This Canadian band is looking for some success in the USA, so give them a push. Their music is hard & very Rage Against The Machine-style.

This is my favorite cd ever!! They have really good music and its not like hanson or the other really young bands like the moffatts. They have a really good beat and Ryan Dennis has an awesome voice. If you want a new cd buy this one!!! =)

I just got their cd, Face Down yesterday, and it's all I've been listening to since then. It's such a great cd, I love Ryan Dennis' voice, and they're songs are amazing. Ryan is definately going to be on every American Girls wall, he is so hott. The best part about them is that they are my age. (I'm 15) They are soo great and I am hoping they do well here in the states. Buy this cd!!!!! The best songs are #'s 2,3,4,5,8,9,10,and 12. So obviously, it's just about the whole cd. Enjoy the cd if you get it, which you should. Serial Joe rules, Shannon

5.0 out of 5 stars Great C.D, August 7, 2000

ok, well yah, i looked at a LOT of these reviews and it seemed that the ones i saw weren't by people who actually live in canada, so here's my take on the cd *from a canadians perspective, someone who knows the guys* this cd is cool, with such tracks as sanity, and push, it keeps this cd in tune and in depth. mistake was the hit song, but in my opinion, a lot of these other songs had more potential to make it big. it seems the known songs, aren't the favourites of fans. the cover track face down had been said to sound like silverchair, and rage against the machine, but it doesn't in my opinion, it sounds like serial joe, and that is how it should sound. some people are dissing this album, but what do they know? ryan's voice has come a long way since their debut cd KICKeD, so if you haven't heard KICKeD than you shouldn't judge face down so harshly. sure Serial Joe... their 3rd, self titled album is better *Seth Bickford* but if you haven't heard their first cd, from way back when, then you shouldn't judge, and besides, in Serial Joe... ryan's voice matured somewhat more. no matter how you look at it, face down is a good album with great tunes, and awesome lyrics, written by them *and debbie* which aren't your sappy love tunes from such teeny bands we hear so often, but DEEP tunes with a message. and hey at least they play their own instruments. *N SYNC* all in all, i think this is a great cd, and you should add it to your collection of cd's as well as other titles by Serial Joe cuz they all rawk *KICKeD, Serial Joe... and if you are lucky some advanced samplers cuz those are cool too!*

This album is great. It's definately time for a release in the States. I heard this was supposed to happen in October, what's with the delay?

This CD is definately amazing. For being so young they have definately got talent. The lyrics are relateable and the is music gladly listenable! I went to a lot of trouble to get the CD and it was definately worth my while! I don't know what it is about this CD but i can't stop listening to it! They've got something going right!
