5.0 out of 5 stars R.L. Stine's Best --- I couldn't put it down!

I have always like horror/thrillers but mostly Christopher Pike. This was the first R.L.Stine book I actually got into. It was great.

This review is from: The Face (Fear Street, No. 35) (Mass Market Paperback)

Imagine you are a talented artist. You're just a teenage girl, still, but you have talent. Imagine losing your memory after a horrible accident that you have absolutely no recollection of.

Imagine having a dream -- a nightmare -- of drawing a gleaming, cold, silver line across the middle of your sketchpad with your ordinary pencil. Imagine drawing another line below it. Color seeps from it. Blood-red color seeps from the creasing, glittering, silver line. It is blood.

This is what happens to Martha. She cannot remember ANYTHING that happened that one cold, dreary, lonely night.

The ending will keep you guessing, keep the pages turning, keep your toes curling in fear. You will not flip to the back to find out what happens for fear of ruining the ending to such a gruesome, horrifying book. I recommend this to anyone daring enough to flip the cover. You will never regret it [unless you're reading it at night...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Read, October 22, 2004

This review is from: The Face (Fear Street, No. 35) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was one of the best R.L.Stine book I read. It's about a girl that forgot something that had happened some years ago. So now she's beginning to see it one piece at a time. And as she pictures the boyz face she started drawing him. The ending is very shocking. It's just like R.L.Stine to give u a shocking ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why can't she remember?, May 24, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Face (Fear Street, No. 35) (Mass Market Paperback)
Martha has a memory problem because she can't remember anything. She keeps on drawing a boy's face who has been murdered. She wants to know about him and she finds out. She doesn't know why she draws the boy's face and then she finally knew. "the face that saved my life" and that's what happened.

I really love this book because it was so good and pretty freaky. I hope you'll like this book because it is spspenseful. I have a good memory and I can remember things that happened and my past. Read this book to yourself and you'll find out.

5.0 out of 5 stars I cried, but I just couldn't put it down!, November 15, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Face (Fear Street, No. 35) (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this for an outside reading at my school and I just loved it! I didn't think that a book like this could be so confusing and good at the same time. But, then again, it is by R.L. Stine (the best author ever) and he is the guy to go to when you need a scare! I still can't get over the sad parts in this book, when Martha doesn't know anything about the holiday trip, or why she keeps drawing THE FACE of the boy she doesn't know. Of course, I give Mr. Stine a big whopping 10 for a great book in a great series. To fans everywhere: you can't read any of the Fear Street series without reading this! It's a must-read!
