for anyone 11 and up. I think little kids might find this movie too upsetting. It is based on two books by Caroline Cooney. It is an excellent fiction story about a 16 year old named Janie who recongnizes her face on a milk carton. She decides to find her birth family, even though she is very happy with the family she's lived with for 13 years. Her cute boyfriend "Reeve" is her main support throughout the ordeal. Kellie Martin is perfect for the role of the teen girl. This movie came out about a decade ago and i taped it, but I would love a new copy on dvd. I hope it is released soon. For fans of Life Goes On...I wanted to let you know that I heard that the first season is going to be released this summer! Yes! It's about time.

What if the face on the milk carton was you?,

In a quick glance her life changed forever. As Janie stared at the black and white picture of a little girl on the back of a milk carton she knew who that little girl was. The little girl was Janie herself. Did the parents she loves kidnap her? Her parents are good people, right? Kidnapping is wrong.....it's evil. Take a walk with Janie in this great movie based on the books The Face on the Milk Carton and Whatever Happened to Janie? by Caroline B. Cooney and find out the truth right along with Janie.

I watched The Face on the Milk Carton many years ago, but have been waiting in vain for the film moguls that be to release it as a DVD (and the VHS version is no longer available. This is such an excellent and charming story that it should be made available to the likes of us whose pulse rate doesn't rocket when watching the transformers and other such "gems".Please release it as a DVD! |
