Editorial Reviews

Repressing. Digitally remastered edition of the Rock guitarist/film composer's 1980 album. Face To Face includes Dave Mattacks on drums and was partly recorded at AIR Studios by Geoff Emerick. It was originally released Chrysalis following the South African born guitarist's move to the UK. Trevor's solo albums impressed Chris Squire so much he asked him to join the reformed Yes to record the band's most successful album 90125 and co-write all the tracks on it including the huge hit single 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart'. Voiceprint.

the first trevor rabin solo album i picked up was "can't look away" and loved it. ever since i've been trying to find some of his earlier material. i think i will end my quest after listeninig to this one. it's got some catchy riffs here and there, but overall it's pretty cheesy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trevor Rabibn, musical genius, March 15, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Face to Face (Audio CD)
What can be said about Trevor Rabin but GENIOUS?! How many musicians do you know that can write all the lyrics, the music, play all the instruments (except the drums) and produce an album? For me the only one that comes to mind is Trevor Rabin. It's no wonder the band Yes hired him write songs and do guitar work! This would have been an awesome resume for him to present to the band!! In my opinion, the best songs on this cd are, The opening song, "I'll take the weight', "Don't you ever lose" and, a St. Louis favorite, (thanks to our local rock station, K-SHE 95) "Now". And last but not least, a great rock tune, "Always the last one". Trevor Rabin, in my opinion, is THE best, most intellegent musician in the music business today. So, if you are a fan of guitar greats, you can't go wrong with Trevor Rabin!
