Set the Twilight Reeling,

This is a near perfect short novel with epic spookiness & a somewhat new class of postmortem characters. The eerie fun begins with the protagonist noticing a strange graffiti appearing around London & a touch of Videodrome like broadcasts appearing on his television. As he tracks these clues through a familiar worlds that seems to be altering in uncomfortable ways., he discerns the graffiti is a magickal sigal & traces the broadcasts to an abandoned warehouse in a seedy, decayed district.
Meetings with old friends at the Pub confirm that all is nor right in Jolly Old London. The 3 books I have of Samuels (the bulk of his slender output thus far) all suggest to me a writer possessed with a finely tuned and presented vision of terror in life. I think he will earn a spot next to Lovecraft, Aikman, Ligotti & perhaps even Poe, as a High Water Mark in the History of Dark Literature. This is just the briefest comment, I know & doesn't fully represent my enthusiasm for Mark Samuels. This is one of the best genre books I've ever read.
