Editorial Reviews

The story follows the confrontation between a young man, his boss and co-workers as they attempt to come to an agreement to settle the issue at hand. Face To Face is really grounded in reality. I am not easily engaged in Australian films but this was terrific. Despite my opinion on two of the actors in this film I must say that they all did a fantastic job. This story was beautifully written. Some of the issues raised in this film such as work place bullying and racism makes this film a true reflection of what its like to be in the Australian workforce. If you are looking for a good Australian Drama you should look no further. --Face To Face is a winner, Maximumdarko, 2012 Imdb

Product Description

From Australia's most acclaimed playwright, David Williamson, a moving and powerful new film about lies, betrayal, sex and bullying in the workplace. A young construction worker rams into the back of his boss's Jaguar in a fit of anger at being sacked. Rather than fronting court, he's given the chance to explain his actions in a community conference. This face-to-face confrontation between the young man, his boss, his boss's wife, co-workers, best mate and mother lifts the lid not only on his dysfunctional life but on their workplace dirty laundry, turning all of their lives upside down. Face To Face stars a stellar ensemble cast led by Vince Colosimo, Sigrid Thornton and Luke Ford and is directed by Michael Rymer of Angel Baby fame

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Movie in a Year! June 29, 2013
Format:Amazon Instant Video|Verified Purchase
There are no good guys in this movie. Every last person had a frailty. It took the luxury of time to bring out the character, good and bad from each person. The acting was invariably superb. The directing was taut and dead on.
I stayed involved for every minute.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thought "ho hum" first few minutes!! May 31, 2014

This thing just took off in such an unexpected way. If you love indie, different, nontraditional movies, this is a must see. The acting was extremely good, the flashbacks done in a way that explained just what needed to be. No more no less. I was never confused even though there were numerous characters, all of which I cared about. I am American but love foreign films particularly British, some French, and have been venturing into Swedish and Australian. Will be keeping an eye out for more of these kinds of film. Especially Australian. This is a must see!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a smackdown! May 15, 2014
Format:Amazon Instant Video
It was a little slow starting - but then, zoom, off we go.
I was drained and exhausted when I finished.
Who knew you could fit a theme park ride into a small room.
For an Australian film, what an unexpected treat!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Directing and Acting!! May 9, 2014
Format:Amazon Instant Video
This 2012 Australian movie depicts a so-called "conference" about the owner of a scaffolding equipment company having his car "rammed" by a spiteful employee. The "conference" seems more like a group therapy session - replete with numerous "flashbacks". As the participants confront one another, we discover that this company has some very serious personal relationship problems. The group "conference" becomes very emotional, but has a positive conclusion - to the benefit of everyone.
I was glued to this movie from beginning to end. This low-budget film proves that all it takes to captivate an audience is a good storyline with some superb directing and acting.
