I have had acne since I was 13 and I'm in my 40s. It never got better...only accelerated to the point where it became cystic. I had severe breakouts, cysts, uneven scarred skin, fine mealy rashes of white heads...never a smooth face. As hormones did their thing in my 30s my skin got worse...for the first time in my life...I didn't want to go out of the house because the cysts had gotten so bad I was at my wits end. I found this...quite by accident...tried in double time with the face doctor soap an inside of 30 days, my own mother was doing a double take at how significant the difference was in reduced scarring and what looked like a complete retreat of the acne . I have used it religiously since...Its been about 2 years now and I am constantly amazed when I wake up in the morning and my skin is smooth, soft and the scars are continuing to lighten (I was a 'picker' so I had REALLY dark bad scarring...no pocks...just marks). I've lived with acne for so many years, every morning I expect to wake up to the PIZZA face again! It's gone...finally! When I do get a little pimple or even 2 now...I will apply a little soap paste on it over night and its zapped in far less time...if not over night. I WILL NOT BE WITHOUT this soap ever and I recommend it to anyone I feel I know well enough to help them and not insult them..I want to walk up to strangers and tell them they don't have to suffer...especially the young folks I see with raging raging acne...it took me 30 YEARS to find this...I hate for anyone else to wait that long!

I'm a hairy, rashy person who has a lot of minor allergies. When I read about the mites, I was intrigued. I thought it could be possible that I was having an allergic reaction to the mites' saliva or other excretions, so I had to try this soap.
I like to give any new product a month or more before I judge it, and here's what I think:
This is the best thing for my skin I've ever found and I consider myself a veteran in the acne war.
I'm 40 and I've had acne since I was 12. I used tetracycline and accutane as a teenager. I've used benzoyl peroxide for over 20 years and had a brief stint with retin A.
This is the only thing that has made my skin better. the hundreds of rashy forehead bumps are gone.
This in itself is miraculous, but the rest of my face has also cleared up.
I still get the occasional zit or two but now I can even leave the house without cover up on my face. I'm fine with one or two pimples compared to the red, active 40 I had before.
Also, the bar lasts a long time. I still have more than half the bar left after 6 weeks of washing 1-2 times a day.

I have never wrote a review for anything but I think it would be wrong not to tell about my experience w/this. I never thought I would see my skin again. I tried everything thing in the world & my face only got more inflammed. I bought this as I saw pretty good reviews & have been amazed. The first time I used this soap my face looked less red...it has gotten better every day there after. I actually look forward to washing my face with this soap...a task that resulted in pain before. I am not taking my meds & still my face improves everyday. I credit this soap with my face clearing up...please try this if you have Rosacea. I am sure it will not be the answer for everyone however for this price it is worth a shot. Good luck & please give this a try.

For the past 6 months, I have had pretty bad acne on my chin. Not sure why it started given that I have always had pretty clear skin. I had tried glycolics, Retin-A, special creams, facials, peels, etc. Nothing worked.

A client of mine recommended this soap...I tried it and within 3 days my skin cleared up. Not only that, my skin looks smooth and even and almost has a "glow".

Amazing.

Now on my second bar of Face Doctor Soap, my skin is making a complete turn-around from the red mess called Rosacea that appeared on my face. My cosmotologist and my beautician have both told me that they can see the difference in the texture of my skin, as well as the reduction in the flare-ups on my face. Members of my art class noticed a difference and a young soon-to-be law student in my class ordered some immediately. She had gone through all the "professional, prescribed pharmaceuticals" for her advanced acne ... the second week she came to class, her acne was visibly reduced.
I can say that the pores have minimized and the nose is smoothing out ... I am 58 years old and my skin looks 15 to 20 years younger ... now, if I could just find something for the rest of the body to look younger, I would be thrilled ... hmmmm! I do need to buy more of the soap and I think I will try the moisturizer, too.

This is the best facial cleanser that I have tryed, and I've tryed many. My rosacea clears up, and my skin color evens out. My skin looks much younger and I will continue to use this soap for life.

I ordered this product after I saw the ad in a parenting magazine. After using it for 2 weeks I find it only made my facial condition worse and have discontinued using it.

I have Rosacea which was very red and painful, made worse in the sun or cold wind. This product is soothing and cooling for my face. I have been using Face Dr for 6yrs. I would highly recommend it to anyone one with rosacea. It is worth a try! I am no longer embarrassed by having a bright red face...

I have been using this soap for about 5 years. I have used it through 4 pregnancies and the subsequent breastfeeding that makes hormones (and acne) go nuts. People tell me I glow. My complexion has never been better. It is true that it can cause burning and dryness at first, but I kept using it and my skin grew accustomed to it. My skin tends to be dry anyway, so I just follow up with a very light application of organic virgin coconut oil. As for the expense, it lasts me for between 4 and 6 months, and I use it once or twice a day (depending on how many showers this busy mommy is allowed!). I don't consider the price extravagant for something that lasts so long, especially considering the price of other acne systems on the market.

I bought this in conjunction with the FaceSurgeon soap. After one week of use the rosacea on my face looks incredibly better. Beware if you decide to use both soaps it can be a little irritating and drying. That is why after I use the soaps I put on TriDerma Facial Redness Repair Cream several times during the day. Between these three products my face has healed dramatically.
