Book Description

It's Bridget Jones meets "Groundhog Day"...

Ever wonder if you made the right choice? What if you could go back and find out?

31-year-old Clara is in a steady relationship—with Facebook. Every night after her depressing bureaucratic job (so much for saving the world), Clara comes home to her empty apartment (yes, she was dumped) and settles down with a pint of ice cream for some good, old-fashioned Facebook stalking. It's her college boyfriend, The One Who Got Away. With the bod of a God and a net worth of umpteen bamillion, he now has the perfect life—everything she could have had if she hadn't been so, so stupid.

But, wait. Jeanie from Facebook shows up at Clara's job. There's a new app they're beta-testing and Clara's perfect for it. That night she clicks on it and... nothing happens. But the next morning when Clara wakes up at noon, hung over, listening to her roommate blow-drying her hair and singing "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It", she realizes she's back in college. With the chance to do it all over again.

Back in the world of frat parties, BFFs, and long-suffering, overlooked lab partners, join Clara as she discovers what it really means to hit the reset button on life. What could possibly go wrong? And, this time, can she get it right?

5.0 out of 5 stars For Romantic Comedy fans and chick lit lovers October 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I am thinking after so many references to Bridgett Jones that I either read the book or watch the movie. I think this book was so cute, adorable, fluffy and when I say LOL at many points, I mean it. There were just so many quirky things about Clara that I loved! So she is 31 and her love life outside of Facebook is non existent. I laughed so hard at her and her cat and there was a scene in the beginning that cracked me up!

When Jeanie from Facebook shows up at Clara's job to offer her a beta testing I was totally hooked. When she goes back in time and hears a familiar song from her college days, she knows she is back there.

I cant express enough how funny and refreshing it was to read this. No plot points here but it is worth the ride to find out if going back is the best thing for Clara. Oh by the way I think I would try the reset button. Laugh at the references to television like Friends and of course songs of the 90's. Perfect chick lit read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yummy, wicked fun October 2, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Facebook Jeanie is like a cronut. Seemingly buttery and light, yet multilayered and surprisingly heavy at the end. It's a deliciously naughty and satisfying read. Bravo, again, Ms. Westlake.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Loved This Book June 22, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
PG13 - only because of the college-age behavior. No sex. A couple of swears, one a deal-breaker (G-d@xx), but I'm going to buy the book so I can redact it!
I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was really a laugh out loud experience. Quirky. And I adored the description of the h and her life and thought it was great and inspiring to watch that change. The romance was perfect! I highly recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious with a side of romance October 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Facebook Jeanie described in one phrase would be: A breath of fresh air.
It has humor (and a lot of it!), it has romance, and it is also a bit touching at times.
When Clara has a chance to go back in time to college and try to mend things with her then-boyfriend (instead of staring at his pictures everyday on facebook!) she jumps right at the chance.
Have you ever wondered how your life would be different if you could go back and change something?
Clara gets to figure out!
This book allows you to explore those thoughts without it actually happening to you. She goes through some pretty hilarious scenarios from living I a huge house while having an affair with a crazy man wearing a thong and dancing to Im Sexy and I Know It, to being a hippy with a limp leg and snake jewelry.
I found myself laughing out loud MANY times while reading this book.
I mean... cat turban, anyone?!
5/5 stars. It was hilarious, it was sweet, and just an all-around complete book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light and fun October 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Single and 31 year old Clara is obsessed with ex boyfriend from college and relentlessly "stalks" him via Facebook. Wishing things hadn't played out like they did.
According to her "Recipe for life" she should have been dating her future husband in her early twenties, been living with him by her mid twenties, gotten engaged in her late twenties, married by early thirties, then babies and her second child by 35, and being behind she is unhappy with every aspect in her life.
One day a pink loving girl (Jeanie/Genie) visits her at work claiming to be a facebook employee with a new app to be tested, all you have to do is press reset...

With three chances to go back and make things right/to change things. But can one ever really go back?

I really enjoyed this light, enjoyable and very humorous read.. I loved the 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' references sprinkled in.
Addison Westlake has a way with words and on more than one occasion I truly LOL'ed.(a profile picture involving a cat for one)

This is a fantastic book for anyone who is a chick lit/ romantic comedy fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love, loved it! September 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Addison Westlake has delivered once more. Here's to humor, fantasy and beautiful chick-lit.

Clara is thirty-one, recently dumped by long-term boyfriend, Gil. And through all her misery at home living on the red liquid diet (no pun intended), she can't even afford being labelled a couch potato since her ex left with all his furniture. But all hope of her recovery isn't lost; He might have left without her heart, but he's left her with every single lady's companion, his cat. Except Jedi-the cat hates-sorry, loathes her for feline reasons beyond man's understanding.

With Facebook being her only companion through misery, Clara drools over the pics of her high-school boyfriend Brad, and dreams of what her ATM would have been with him. He was the one he let go away. Or The One She Broke Up With to be precise.

But all's in the past now. He's married, he's moved on, he's speaking billions and she's hating her job. But Clara can't grasp reality. What if she could go back to the past, unbreak up with him.

What if Jeanie, a Facebook employee appears into her life informing Clara about a new Facebook app that's being beta-tested by a selective few, and what if this takes the whole Facebook experience to a whole new (3D) level, what if you could go back down timeline lane and correct something in the past, and what if Clara wants to tag along with the Facebook genie to unbreak up with Brad. But what if she gets distracted along the way? Did I say distraction comes in the form of hot, czechoslovakian male Aleksander Novak.

Well, headstrong, Clara knows her Mr. Right is Brad and can't afford to be swayed from her goal by anyone however dorky they were back in college.

Three chances for a time travel. So many dreadful mistakes.

More About the Author

Addison Westlake made her debut as an author at age 13 by rewriting the "Sweet Valley High" series. Despite copyright violations, she maintains that her rendition of Elisabeth and Jessica Wakefield as preteens in a British orphanage is a classic. Between then and now she went to some fancy schools, swapped out the East Coast for the West Coast, and had oodles of kids. Some of her favorite things in life include coffee, Aretha Franklin's inauguration hat and the sleepwalking scene in "Step Brothers."

Addison's first romantic comedy, "Christmas in Wine Country" won first prize in the single title division of the Romance Writers of America's 2010 Stilletto Contest and spent six weeks on Amazon's best seller list.
