5.0 out of 5 stars Keeping the Wrinkles at Bay
I first got this brilliant and easy-to-follow book years ago when I didn't have a hint of wrinkles. I used it for a few weeks, then sort of laid it aside. Recently my 80-year-old mother-in-law was in town and was complaining about wrinkles around her mouth. I pulled the book out, showed her some exercises, and she began Within a few days, you could see a difference...

2.0 out of 5 stars Why use a model for the exercises?
I started collecting books on facial exercises when my face began looking tired all the time. This was the only book I could find at the book store--it looked good, but that's about it. Since then, I've purchased the Facercise book I found on amazon.com, then the Facercise video. My face looks like it did 10 years ago.

I first got this brilliant and easy-to-follow book years ago when I didn't have a hint of wrinkles. I used it for a few weeks, then sort of laid it aside. Recently my 80-year-old mother-in-law was in town and was complaining about wrinkles around her mouth. I pulled the book out, showed her some exercises, and she began Within a few days, you could see a difference.

Since I am now mid-50's, I decided to try to get ride of my extra chin and some wrinkles from my mouth to chin. I began this routine and within 2 weeks people are asking questions "what are you doing to look younger", etc. I actually do several of the other exercises as well and my face feels much more elastic and healthy, and is definitely toning up.

I have already given some of these books to some of my massage clients.

Go for it! It works! Connie

1.0 out of 5 stars Not much foundation here to build anything!, March 8, 2000

I purchased this book about two years ago thru a catalog. It took 3 months to receive it and was very dissapointed in its contents. The descriptions and instructions are barely there. All this information could have been put in a leaflet. Though the photos are well done they are not enough, neither is the text. Buy Carole Maggio's book and video "Facercise". Book is well written and the video is even better. The exercises truly work when done correctly.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME BOOK!, December 30, 2004

This review is from: Facebuilding: The Daily 5-Minute Program for a Beautiful, Wrinkle-Free Face (Paperback)
This book is very detailed especially the drawings of the face showing you every muscle being worked. I haven't had this book long, but look forward to some very exciting results. If you have just five mins a day this book is for you. I just incorporate it with my daily workouts. Why not workout your face just like you workout your body, it makes perfect sense. Everything the author says about working out your facial muscles like you workout your body's muscles is so true! I have been working out with weights for years and know first hand what good toned muscles can do for your body and it's appearance. So pick up a copy you will be glad you did!

***NOTE*** I have now used the method in this book for awhile and can say it is really making a difference. I started to have slightly saggy eyelids like my father, and this is helping lift that area up very nicesly. I have noticed a huge difference in my chin area as well. The book and instructions are so easy, it only takes five mins a day.I feel I am making a huge investment with my face for the future. Even though I am only 37, I feel it's never too early or late to start. Get this book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pictures are excellent, November 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Facebuilding: The Daily 5-Minute Program for a Beautiful, Wrinkle-Free Face (Paperback)
I love this book because the photographs are so clear. Each exercise shows great pictures: one shows a drawing of the entire head with all the muscles and the targeted ones highlighted, and one photo of the woman's face with lines drawn on the skin showing the targeted muscles, and then the photo(s) of the exercise with a very clear written description. I love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars It really does take years off your face!, August 26, 1997

Like everyone else in this world, I am aging and am concerned about aging. I have been using this book since it came out (off and on), and people tell me I look about 6 years younger than I am! It does not make wrinkles, if you do the exercises as directed, and it makes your face feel great. Highly recommended. Write to me if you buy it

This review is from: Facebuilding: The Daily 5-Minute Program for a Beautiful, Wrinkle-Free Face (Paperback)
I chose this book on reference from a friend. She was so adamant that I try it, so I did. I was very surprise as to the clarity of the information provided. The pictures are clear and the procedures are easy. If you are looking for something that's easy and works, then this is the book for you. Some of the others get too technical and bore you with too much text and no examples. All you need is yor book and a mirror and you are on your way. Happy, thanks friend........

2.0 out of 5 stars Incomplete Instructions, October 19, 2007

This review is from: Facebuilding: The Daily 5-Minute Program for a Beautiful, Wrinkle-Free Face (Paperback)
When you try the exercises, you feel that the instructions are incomplete. Exercising certain muscles, especially in the area of the cheeks and mouth, makes you wonder how to keep your teeth (relaxed or otherwise). As a result you may make the wrong moves and defy its purpose.
I say this because I am making the comparison with Senta Maria Runge's Face Lifting by Exercise, who does describe in more details what is happening with the various face muscles that you're training.
