This cd is a collection of new (and old) songs done live in Atlanta. The songs here are awesome, though most will probably not be done in your corporate worship service. Matt has a gift for lyrical content that few can match. He's amazing. "Praise Awaits You" is an awesome kick-off song, "Dancing Generation" is going to move you, but my favorite song is the title track. "Facedown" is the song that says it all, and you'll find yourself really falling into worship with it.

All in all, the sound is great on here too for a live cd. The mix is good. If you like his other cds, this one will be a great addition to the list. Highly recommended.

This is what a worship album is supposed to be. (That is all I really need to write, but I will go on...) From entering in worship with anticipation on the very 1st song, to each and every song after. Even after the last song it is like I want 10 more songs, I guess I just don't want it to end. It is sooooo awesome! But as all good things have to, it obviously does. Each live song builds in to the next, which basically takes you right there into the courts of the King. There is incredible depth in this album and real passion and reverence for our Lord, that not many worship songs or albums have. It is not for the faint of heart, or easy listener. Get ready to turn it on and spend some time on your face! Everyone who loves worshipping God needs this album. It is raw love for an Amazing GOD! I absolutely love every song! Musically, Lyrically, Everything A+++++++
I rate this as 10 out of 5 stars as this album goes off the charts! Way off! A must own!

Matt Redman is a true worshiper of God. FACEDOWN is where you'd be when you see the glory or feel the awe of God. The more you come to know God, the more you fall FACING DOWN in reverence. You will LOVE this CD.

I also want to recommend all who's out there to actually go to Matt Redman's concerts or to any Passion conferences. If you love to praise, you will absolutely LOVE it.

From the opening notes of "Praise Awaits You", Matt Redman takes us on a journey into the presence of a Holy God. Matt Redman has been releasing studio albums and they have all been good. But he is a worship leader. Where he is best and most in the place where God created him is in a live setting with other worshippers.
This CD is powerful! There are some great songs that bring you to your face as you worship God. The only weakness may be song #3 which has deep lyrics and idea, but the sound of it is a little weak. Other than that Matt Redman has a winner here. If you enjoy modern worship then you should get this CD. If you are a worship leader like me, then learn from Matt Redman and his awe of God and his worship leading!

FACEDOWN, the latest work in a growing body of Matt Redman worship songs, is simply amazing. The quality of song-crafting is high, mature and intelligent. No trite sayings or fluffy lines here. Best of all, FACEDOWN is the first full-length solo Redman work done completely live... and does this work! Previous Redman 'albums' (do we still call them as such?) have been done in the studio. This has led to some really great tunes being over-produced and hard to replicate well in a live setting (like churches). THIS work, FACEDOWN demonstrates that tight and rock-edged musicianship can happen live, and NOT detract from an engaging time with God in worship.
Great job, Matt! Please keep 'em coming, you are a gift to the Church!

Matt Redman is a premier singer/song writer, and in my opinion a notch above Michael W. Smith. Matt refuses to be a prisoner of method or predictabilibility in his writing. This particular project reaches heights where other popular Christian artists would not have the fortitude to go beyond what sounds 'safe'. His music is reflective of a very creative mind, and a heart given to the supremacy of Jesus Christ, and his lyrics testify to the validity of The Gospel, which he clings to very evidently as a common thread throughout every song.

This is by far one of the best worship albums ever. God is so evident in every note, every word, every cry. I'll be honest, it took me a couple times through before I found it wonderful. But now it's one of my favorites. Let Matt guide you into the throne room of the Most High and let your praise ring true to the King of Kings!

This just takes you higher then brings you 'Facedown'. Matt is obviously inspired by the Lord, he's most definitely sold out to Jesus.

Well done Matt, May the Lord Jesus continue to bless the work of your hands.

This is an incredible worship album, perhaps my favorite to be released in recent years, and definitely my favorite Redman album yet. It seems so many "worship" albums these days focus on mankind. This album is in total contrast in the sense that it focus' on the holiness of God (I think he used the phrase 'You are worthy' in just about every song haha!). Add to this reoccurring theme Matt's incredible voice and songwriting abilities and you get an amazing CD =)

Personal favorites are Gifted Response, Dancing Generation, Pure Light, Worthy, You are Worthy, and Mission's Flame.

Only one word can define this album...Amazing! Matt really focuses on the fact that God is God and should be revered as one. Not man. This CD has been worn out since I bought it. Amazing worship for an even more amazing God!
