Mrs. Mueller's book about Autism has opened my eyes to this greatly misunderstood disorder. Having a nephew with this disorder, it has allowed me to communicate with my nephew at a level that is appropriate for him. What an immensely gentle, intelligent and enormously fun child he is to be around. May God bless Mrs. Mueller for her contribution. THIS IS A MUST READ!!!! for anyone in contact with an autistic child.

Oh My GOSH! Amazing,

I have a daughter with autism who is six years old. I have bought many books on autism. It wasn't until I bought Facing Autism by Kathleen Mueller that I felt I have finally bought a book that can truly help me help my daughter. Emily my sweet baby girl sounds almost identical to Mr. & Mrs. Mueller's son who is mentioned in the book.
Mrs. Mueller shares with the reader so much personal information on how she began breaking down that wall to find the person hiding behind that anyone who reads this is bound to come away with several things they can do to help their child. I have personally incorperated many of the techniques mentioned in the book and my daughter is responding very well to them. We have only been doing this about 3 weeks since I read the book, but so far the results are fantastic. Finally a book written by a parent who really understands the struggles parents go through in dealing with a child with autism. A must-read! A. H. Washington, New Jersey

Confusing title,

I'm glad Ms. Mueller's book has been helpful. It's unfortunate that she chose to give her book the same name as Lynn Hamilton's book. Ms. Hamilton's book has been around longer and is a bit of a classic in the Autism world. It will be confusing to those who are new to autism and referred to Ms. Hamilton's book, who has different info in her book. I'm grateful for the service Ms. Mueller has lent to the autism world and to continue that service, would encourage Ms. Mueller to choose another name for her book.

Incrediably informative! Full of answers to questions I have had for years. The best book I have ever read on autism. My son's doctor agreed and was surprised by how much infromation he didn't know regarding autism. Don't wait! This is a must have for a parent who has a child with autism.
