This is an amazing resource for those who have lost someone near and dear to them. Elisabeth Elliot knows about her subject having buried two husbands. She has also counseled and spoken to women for years and has been a comfort to many who have walked this path. Ms. Elliot does not mince words and even though this a short booklet, it is filled with Biblical truth and encouragement to press on in a way which would be both pleasing and honoring to God and also comforting to the mourner. She encourages us to "do the next thing", something which is very difficult when we are caught in such grief. Elisabeth Elliot calls us out of ourselves and helps us to focus on the Author of our lives and the Finisher of our faith. This is not just a booklet for those who have experienced the death of a spouse, but also for anyone who has lost "Someone You Love." It is too bad it is out of print....someone should take up the mantle and print this precious book for wider distribution.

This is a good little pamphlet, but that is all it is. It is not a book. It still sells new from the publisher (Good News Publishers, Wheaton, IL) for $1.99. I do not understand the Amazon prices in the $50 range.
