Editorial Reviews

Review

"Into each life some rain must fall" is a lesson of life. Chapman recounts the stories of himself and his patients as they confront the "rain" of serious and terminal illness. These homily stories offer insight, encouragement, faith and peace to those who may find themselves in similar straits. -- Ministry & Liturgy, Volume 26, No. 1

5.0 out of 5 stars Facing Life,An anthology of courage, love and faith, November 28, 1999

This review is from: Facing Death: Stories of Spiritual Response to Serious Illness (Paperback)
This book should be entitled "Facing Life" because it is not about death but about struggles of everyday people against illness, fear and despair. The inspiration is that the struggle is won with courage, love and faith. Dr Chapman has distilled some real life stories into an inspiring collection. Each short story is engaging and I found I was unable to put it down until completed. The book represents the best in the art of Medicine. I have sent several copies to friends and family and they share these sentiments
