I was hoping to learn more about the current-day Assyrians. This is a very short documentary which while it opens the eyes of most people who are unaware that Assyrians even exist, it still does not go into much detail. The people in this documentary (Assyrian) claim to be Christian--but their reasoning seems off. Clearly they are a religious people with religious symbols and icons; but "eating in McDonald's does not make me a hamburger," if you get my meaning. Anyway, these people claim they are being forced from their land just like Jesus. I'm not even sure to what they are referring; Jesus was never forced from His land. Besides, there exists an enormous group of Assyrians living in California who are prospering. Yet, and here is the crux of this matter-->these people should be allowed to remain in their land if they choose. Mainly this documentary is meant to show people in the West the atrocities that the Muslims are committing against them simply because they are of a different ethnic background and mainly because they refuse to accept the Islamic religion. For this reason, the DVD gets 3 stars for at least bringing yet another genocidal situation into view for people of the West to know about and to aid.
