Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile

A New Age evening with mystical poet Robert Bly, Jungian analyst Marion Woodman and a live audience of disciples offers Zen stories, exegesis, dialogue, Indian music and good vibes. The theme eludes the uninitiated but has something vaguely didactic to do with intimate relations between men and women. The hosts establish an instant rapport with their audience, punctuating their solo and duo star turns with touches of puckish joshing. Disciples will savor every holy moment of communion with these priests of the infinite. Skeptics will find them fatuous, muddy-thinking and infuriatingly smug. Y.R. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine

5.0 out of 5 stars Bly's best on how our shadow selves can influence behavior, May 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Facing the Shadow in Men and Women (Audio Cassette)
Using a folktale storyline that is told lightly and then analysized one section at a time, Bly leads us to a deeper understanding of the roots of our behavior and helps us to grow more aware of what is influencing those around us. Underlying themes are clearly expressed and easily followed. If you are on the path, you will really enjoy this blossom.
