Book Description

Page-A-Day(r) Calendars August 15, 2003
Believe everything you read? You haven't played Fact or Crap: The Kellogg brothers, inventors of Corn Flakes, ran a school for delinquent youth. Nope, that's total crap. In the US, 3% of the population produces enough food for the other 97%. It's a fact! Adapted from the fast-paced, edgy board game from University Games, Fact or Crap features a year of statements that may be true--or just pure b.s. You decide. And along the way, you'll learn something, too. Lots of things, actually. Fact or Crap: TWA once made its flight attendant uniforms from tinfoil.1 Fact or Crap: Before becoming James Bond, Sean Connery spent time as a milkman.2

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Way to Stretch Your Brain, December 18, 2006
By
I am a big fan of "Page-A-Day" calendars. This one is particularly fun, offering an obscure factoid for each day, which asks the question "Fact or Crap?" (Then you get to decide if the trivia is true or fictional). I've currently got this calendar for the year 2006 , and have enjoyed each day's offering. My 2007 calendar just arrived and looks like another fun item to provide for a few minutes of relaxation and trivia education each day. The calendar comes nicely packaged and would make a great gift too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Office Game, January 19, 2007
We play this game at the office and have a "fact or Crap" challenge. It gets the group in a positive mood for the day. (if we get it right) Each person answers and bonelli, a member of our team, has created a spread sheet of our answers. It has graphs, charts, trending, etc... It will be interesting to see how it plays out after a full year. Could be 50/50. Who knows?

1.0 out of 5 stars Looking for an Interesting Trivia Calendar? Look Elsewhere!, September 2, 2005
Sure, there are occasional interesting facts on this calendar, but mainly it's "true or false" statements relating to obscure entertainment facts or genuinely uninteresting things. For example: [Former President Bill Clinton is a Fan of the Card Game Bridge]. Now, is there a remotely interesting answer to that question? Or a couple of recent ones: [The First Star Trek Episode Featured a Mind-Reading Alien -- Crap]. A Star Trek fan knows it's wrong; a non-Star Trek fan doesn't give a damn! Or: [Fantasy Island is a Small Spot on an Island in the South Pacific -- Crap, Fantasy Island is fictional]. No kidding! How many Rhodes scholars contributed to that one? Find some other trivia calendar. This is SO lame.
