I love Kristen Hall's singing and also her songwriting. I Gave Everything and Peaches are two of the best songs, in my opinion. Frankly, I love the whole album and wish it had gotten the recognition it deserved. This lady is one of the best in the business and she just keeps getting better.

Well, this music made a big impact on me in my early twenties- driving around Colorado & New Mexico- now almost 40 - very happy to have found it again. Strong vocals, strong lyrics- Kristen is not afraid of her voice.Definetely recommend this CD.

I LOVE this CD! I ordered it because I love Sugarland so much. Kristen's style as a solo artist seems much different than the band's style. But, I absolutely love her solo effort . . . wonderful acoustic guitar and her deep, throaty voice. Kristen, please record more!!!!

I wish Kristen Hall had continued to make albums that radiate the simple and compelling humanity of this one. Her next release was good, but the durable ache of her music on "fact and fiction" manages to be both comforting and edgy. "Fading Away" and "I Gave Everything" are standouts for me.

I see she's going to appear at the Americana Folk Festival (10/21/06) near Nashville, and I'm looking forward to seeing her live after 14 years of wearing out her CDs. She seems a dear musical friend I've never met.

**update: Kristen dropped out of the festival lineup a couple of weeks before the show -- alas and alack!
