when i think of a dagger, i think of a short sword thats thin and not bulky. something that fits on the hip or the even smaller ladies ones that fit between the breasts.

this dagger looks cool. i love the skulls and the crossbones. i bought it for my halloween costume cause im going as a female pirate. i figured id wear it at my hip in a scarf that im wrapping around me as a belt. thought it would be piraty and the skulls add a lil scariness.

the dagger is bigger (wider, longer, thicker) than i thought it would be. hard to know from the description here. it says its only one pound weight, i figured the handle might be sold plastic which would cause the weight. didnt know the weight was cause of the size. would be fine on a big mans hip though.

for those that want to know, the diminsions are: length about 12 and 3/4 inchs, width about 4 and a half inchs across the crossbones. handle is about an inch and a half thick. blade takes up only 8 inchs of the entire length, and is an inch and a quarter wide.

hope someone finds any of this helpful. its just a toy/costume knife, but it will play its part pretty well at any dress up party or in a play. after halloween it will probably be packed up for future halloweens cause my sister doesnt like the idea of my nearly 3 year old niece playing with knives, even toy ones. but my niece is getting my pirate costume jewelry after halloween so she will have some fun toys for make believe and dress up playtime.
