This is completely useless. I used two new fully-charged batteries, and each only lasted 5 minutes, just enough to make a mess, and not enough to get any real work done. The hedgehog uses too much energy for a battery. Also, it kept jamming even though I was clipping small, skinny branches. I used this a total of three times (about 30 min. over a weeklong period) when smoke started coming from the motor and it burnt up. Unfortunately, I lost my receipt, so the company will not work with me in replacing this hunk of junk. Buyer beware, and if you disregard this message, please keep your receipt!

The Black and Decker Hedge Hog works well as long as the batteries are fully charged. As soon as they start to run down your clippings will look more torn than nicely cut. Overall I really like the ease of use, and no more cutting through extension cords.

I used mine twice, about 15 minutes worth each time, when mine wore out and burned out. The shipping costs for warranty repair just wasn't worth it.

I went back to using a set of normal, hand operated hedge clippers. This "tool" was the worse $80.00+ that I've ever spent on a "tool."

Very pleased with my Recon Product.Shipped in a retailed box and the hedge trimmer was like new. I did not see any blemishes on it.Does the job Battery last good on shrubs and does fair on crepe-myrtles,and being cordless it is lite-weight and doesn't wear you out. I would recommend and continue to buy from this company.Shipping was quick and efficient.I paid less for hedger and got just as much as a new one

So far this trimmer works great. I love the mobility and immediate start a batter offers. I also like that the battery fits my Hedgehog line trimmer.

The hedge trimmer cuts through brush and ivy very easily. Battery life is also very good. Highly recommended.
